Former Kisumu County Governor Jack Ranguma says he is considering being sworn-in as Kisumu Governor in the same style National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga took oath as people’s president on Tuesday.
This comes after his petition challenging the victory of Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o was dismissed by the High Court on January 3rd.
“Raila has set the precedent, his vote was stolen and he is now the people’s president. Would it be wrong if I followed cue and also claimed what’s mine?” Ranguma said on Friday.
The court further slapped Ranguma Sh5 million as cost for the petition, with Governor Nyong’o and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) receiving Sh2.5 million each.
However, Ranguma moved to Appellate Court to appeal the ruling, arguing that the High Court judge erred in his judgment.
Ranguma was speaking when he attended the burial of Silas Owiti, the founder of Voice of Salvation and Healing Church, in Kisumu on Friday.
other than obtaining a title…
other than obtaining a title of governor what are you going to achief, Kisumu has a dully elected governor, so you should stop following blindly to what Raila is doing, for his time is coming that he will face the full wrath of the law. You as a person well educated in the constitutional matters should be setting an example to the people, that disagreements are to be dealt with in court.
