Retired President Mwai Kibaki’s grandson has come to the defense of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son over his staggered speech at a function with Deputy President Willian Ruto in Nandi last week.
Speaking at the event, an obviously uncomfortable Muhoho Kenyatta, President Uhuru Kenyatta’s first born son, delivered an incoherent short speech read in Kiswahili from his phone, raising questions among many on his fluency on the national language.
A majority of Kenyans took to the social media to jeer him for struggling to read the national language. For some, he made it worse by reading it from his phone.
However, Former President Kibaki’s grandson, Sean Andrew Kibaki sees it from a different angle. In what appeared as a ‘rescue’ the President’s son from the backlash he received on social media, Kibaki pointed out that Muhoho made a good attempt speaking in public, being his first time to do so.
“Public speaking is never easy, at least he did it well,” @sean_andr3w said in a post on Twitter.
Muhoho had accompanied Ruto on a campaign trail in Nandi County on Sunday.

Fumbled or Not: One’s Speechbshould make sense; and not MATUSI. Robert Mugabe (at 93yrs) fumbles in his Speeches but They are the Best Speeches I Would Ever Want to Listen to Again and Again.

Why is he even speaking to…
Why is he even speaking to people kwani this is a monarchy.Ati because your father and grandfather were president you think now you are ready. How about polishing up on your kiswahili the language spoken by the same people who voted your father in. There are many capable Young turks out there and this idea that only one family or tribe can produce leaders is backward and extremely undemocratic.

Lovely young guy, lakini his “speech” was lacking. Looked like he was a tad behind his chronological age. Just an observation.
He sounded like he has developmental delay. Well, if he does, I am even more endeared to the Kenyatta’s- they are human after all.

If uhuru Kenyatta thinks he is introducing him to public for the purpose of 2032, he should scratch his ass again
