National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga now claims that Jubilee’s ‘rigging’ plans in the annulled August 8th elections failed because they underrated Nasa’s elaborate surveillance scheme.
The former Prime Minister said that the ruling party fell into he opposition trap by believing that their parallel vote tallying centre had failed.
“They actually did not know we had a working tallying centre from where we monitored everything,”
Speaking during a campaign rally in Bondo town, Siaya County on Saturday, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader said that they hoodwinked President Uhuru’s team into believing that they were not ready for the election.
“All along, Jubilee knew we were ill-prepared for the polls. Our tracking system showed some of the results used to declare Uhuru the President were actually being transmitted from inside certain supermarkets.”
Raila further pointed fingers on Jubilee leaders, accusing them of piling undue pressure on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chair Wafula Chebukati to declare the presidential results without having received results from thousands of polling stations.
The opposition leader also revealed how they tricked Jubilee into believing that they would not challenge the presidential results at the Supreme Court.
“All along, we made them believe we would opt for mass action instead of going to court, before pulling a surprise on them,” said Raila.
Raila was accompanied by Siaya Governor Cornell Rasanga, Senator James Orengo and a host of opposition MPs. He noted that he had more supporters across the country than President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“This is why I was telling Uhuru the other day that I am his senior in politics and age and he should respect me. We have the numbers and the goodwill. We will beat him in a free and fair election,” the former Prime Minister said.
He vowed that Nasa’s “No reforms No Election” campaign will go on in Nairobi this week.
“We are not backing down. Our demands must be met,” he said.
He added: “We are sending a clear message to IEBC and Jubilee that we are not going to boycott the repeat elections. It will not just happen without reforms. This is not negotiable.”
Raila welcomed back his ally and cousin former Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo who maintained a low profile after being edged out during the ODM nominations.
“I want every leader from our region to come out and help us campaign. All those who fell must return. This is why I have come with Jakoyo,” said Raila.
What a dummy. You do not…
What a dummy. You do not reveal your winning strategy when the war is not yet over… Next round, hopefully, you will not have technicalities to save your a*ss.
Ndugu Raila, you don’t have…
Ndugu Raila, you don’t have a chance. The corrupt and morally bankrupt IEBC will give the vote again to your brother Uhuru come October 26. This joint (IEBC) should change its name to “JEBC.” “J” stands for Jubilee and the rest you know.
There is absolutely no way that you can win this election. I have said this before and I will remind you again. As long as Ndugu Toroitich is alive, he will not allow you to be the president of Kenya. We all know that the person running the Kenya government right now is not Uhuru, It is Brother Toroitich Arap Moi. He is scared of you. He knows exactly the crimes that he has committed against the people of Kenya and especially what he did to you in the past. He is also afraid that his participation in the death of Robert Ouko with Biwott will be revived
and he will be found guilty and spend the rest of his life in Kamiti. Believe me, if I were Toroitich, I would make sure that I block all the chances of your going to our state house. He is also afraid that he supported the attack and the killing of innocent Kenyans after the 1992 and 1997 elections. He is scared. Do you remember the private visit he had with Uhuru’s mother before the election!
I am kindly asking you to withdraw your name from the presidential candidacy and let your brother Uhuru continue with bankrupting Kenya through his inability to contain the cancer of corruption in our country. The money that will be spent in the October “fake” election, can go to some useful projects like improving the housing of our destitute brothers and sisters in our Kenyan slums.
Sounds like hallucination in…
Sounds like hallucination in progress and I don’t want to interrupt cos the crazy might turn on me. Solution is to ignore. Moi suffering from amnesia can’t remember the above accusations.
