National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential running mate, Kalonzo Musyoka has accused Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama accusing him of tarnishing his name. The Wiper Democratic Party leader claimed that Muthama damaged his name when he claimed that he fixed his preferred candidates on the party list in the recently ended party primaries.
Three weeks ago, the outspoken Senator accused Kalonzo of meddling in the primaries, threatening to abandon the party. He also bowed out of the Machakos senatorial race.
Speaking to the media after attending a church service in Mlolongo on Sunday, Kalonzo said that he will not tolerate Muthama’s behaviors.
“You are either with us or not, you cannot say that you will campaign for Raila and not Wiper because they are one entity and distancing yourself from Wiper means you are not in NASA too,” Kalonzo told Muthama.
The two appeared to have iron out their differences after they shared the same podium during the burial of Kitui Senator David Musila on Saturday, but the latest sentiments by Musyoka throws everything in shambles.
Kalonzo clarified why Wiper presented his name to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) as a presidential candidate, saying that it is a legal requirement to be followed considering NASA is not a legally registered party.
