Emani Business Centre, the building that houses Jubilee Party headquarters has been set up for auction.
In a notice published on Monday, Garam Investments said the multi-million-shilling property located along Thika Road at Pangani area in Nairobi will be auctioned on September 13th at Garam’s headquarter offices in Westlands.
“All that parcel of land known as LR no 209/1530 Emani Business Centre along Thika Road, Pangani area registered under Farmer Industry Limited, with a plinth area of 34, 000 square feet,” reads part of the auction notice.
The property is registered under Florence Wairimu Mbugua of Farmers Industry Limited.
Bidders will be required to produce a bidding deposit of Sh5 million by way of cash or bankers’ cheque before being allowed to bid.
The ruling Jubilee Party has been a tenant in the seven-storey business complex since September 2016 when it was formed following a merger of more than 10 small parties ahead of the 2017 general election.
The headquarters served as the nerve centre for the President Kenyatta-led outfit during the 2017 elections and houses offices crucial to its operations.
The party has been rocked with unsettled rental arrears when Auditor General Nancy Gathungu in 2021 questioned how they spent Sh87.47 million on rent for the premises but failed to register the lease agreement for the property with the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning to justify the payments.
Seriously, walikura zote?…
Seriously, walikura zote? Uhuru and goons. Now Raymond Moi is claiming that no one should vie for the Rogai seat.
DYNASTIES HAVE TO GO…PERIOD.
All Kenyans see is all the money that had been stolen from them being reinvested back and being stolen back at higher premiums.
Wakenya tuamke.
