Billionaire businessman Chris Kirubi has commended opposition leader Raila Odinga over his decision to work with President Kenyatta.
Speaking when Odinga visited him at his home in Nairobi on Tuesday, the industrialist said the handshake between the Opposition chief and the Head of State will create a conducive environment for the country to realise economic growth.
During the meeting, Kirubi told Raila that he will invest in Kisumu and also rally other businesspeople to explore the lakeside city.
“I will be one of the investors in Kisumu…but investors don’t invest in cycles. We want long-term peace,” Kirubi told Odinga in a meeting, Tuesday morning.
“Kisumu has such a huge potential, more than anywhere else because it has a big lake. Let us invest in Kisumu and allow it to grow, but we have to give confidence to investors,” added Kirubi.
On his part, Odinga noted he will retire a happy man if his efforts of uniting Kenyans succeed.
“If every Kenyan can move around the country freely and be able to realize their potential, I will feel that I would have lived a useful life in the country,” said Odinga.
Odinga, who was accompanied by his lawyer Paul Mwangi, visited the billionaire at his residence in Nairobi’s Loresho estate.
“This morning I visited Chris Kirubi who has recently returned from overseas where he had gone for medical treatment. It was great to see him in high spirits and we wish him all the best as he continues with his recovery,” Raila said in a social media post.
The tycoon returned to the country in March after spending six months in the United States, where he had been receiving specialized treatment for a yet to be disclosed ailment.
Kirubi will loose nothing…
Kirubi will loose nothing even if his investments are torched/looted in Kisumu. All his wealth has been looted from poor and hungry Kenyans.Maybe even all other robbers can invest there in this county inhabited by 99 percent violent people.

Let Raila show you his productive investments in his people for the last fourty some years. Charity begins at home! Then be ready to invest. If Raila has not taken any risk in investing in his community, to uplift it, who is willing to take that risk?
