Trump's Presidential Ambitions Undeterred by Conviction, Lawyer Asserts
Former US President Donald Trump

In the aftermath of Donald Trump’s unprecedented conviction on 34 counts of falsifying business records, his lawyer Alina Habba has asserted that the former president’s pursuit of the presidency will continue unabated.

Despite the historic nature of the verdict, which marks the first time a US president has been found guilty of a crime, Mr Trump maintains that the trial was rigged and politically motivated. Ms. Habba, in an interview with the BBC, characterizes Mr. Trump as a “victim of political, selective prosecution” and emphasizes the significance of the challenge facing the nation in November, citing unprecedented corruption within the judicial system. She stresses the urgency of addressing this issue which she believes is not mere posturing but a genuine concern.

Mr. Trump’s supporters have rallied behind him, contributing funds and expressing their apprehension about the consequences of this troubling situation. They are determined to prevent such an occurrence from happening again. Meanwhile, tensions are escalating across the United States as the November election approaches with differing views and beliefs creating a sense of division among citizens. This polarized environment poses challenges for the country as it navigates the complex landscape leading up to the crucial vote.

In a scathing address at Trump Tower, the former president launched a tirade against his political adversaries, the jury, and the presiding judge, whom he denounces as a “tyrant” who “literally crucified” witnesses. President Biden’s campaign condemns Mr Trump’s outbursts as unhinged and driven by a desire for revenge, emphasizing the importance of respecting the American justice system and labelling any claims of a rigged trial as reckless and irresponsible.

Stormy Daniels, the former adult film actress at the centre of the hush money scandal, provided testimony during the trial. Her lawyer, Clark Brewster, revealed that Ms. Daniels wore a protective vest when attending the New York courthouse due to the vicious, threatening, and fearful atmosphere surrounding the proceedings. In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mirror, Ms Daniels suggested that Mr Trump should be imprisoned or serve as “the volunteer punching bag at a women’s shelter.” She also acknowledged that while Trump may be guilty, she still has to live with the aftermath of the situation.

A concerning narrative has emerged among Trump’s most ardent supporters with some, like former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, making unsubstantiated claims of a secretive plan to assassinate the former president. Others have highlighted the potential consequences of a conviction on the 34 felony charges he faces, which could result in a lengthy prison sentence. Trump himself has alluded to this possibility in his latest fundraising message, asserting that his adversaries are attempting to “JAIL me for life as an innocent man.”

However, legal experts believe that while Trump may face prison time, he is unlikely to receive the maximum sentence, and any jail term he does receive will likely be significantly shorter.

  1. Trump is right. The American…
Trump is right. The American government especially the democrats are worse than him.

Joe Biden & Barack Obama have been aiding and abetting global electoral fraud and facilitating the collapse of cases at the ICC.

The same way they helped ICC criminals escape just, the American government needs to help him escape justice.

  2. Donald Trump has more moral…
Donald Trump has more moral courage that Joe Biden & Barack Obama. He does lie to the poor around the world.

Joe Biden, Barack Obama are shameless electoral fraudsters & they lie to the poor. They not leaders. They just lying government employees.

    They’re worse than him.

Why lie to poor people by telling them they voted for someone when those schools where the polling stations are supposed to be located don’t even exist?
