Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential candidate Raila Odinga says his competitor Deputy President William Ruto scored an own goal during the presidential debate at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa on Tuesday evening.
Odinga, who skipped the debate, says Ruto denied claims that he grabbed any parcel of land in the country yet he could not explain how he acquired most of the land he owns, including one in Laikipia County.
“He scored an own goal. He denied that the Laikipia land is not his. I am therefore issuing a notice here, that when we take over the government, we will return that land to the public and I do not expect him to complain,” said Odinga during a campaign rally in Rumuruti, Laikipia County on Wednesday.
During the rally, Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua urged Laikipia residents to vote for them, saying that their opponents have been in government for the last 10 years and have nothing new to offer.
“Our opponents have been in the government for over 10 years now. If they did not deliver then, they will not be able to deliver now. Make a wise decision by choosing Raila and myself and we assure you we will not let you down,” Karua pledged.

Ruto scored so badly on his own debate. He lied on everything from local and external debts, youth unemployment, taxes on fuel, food crises, Kimwerer/arror dams theft of which he pocketed shs 21 billion, etc.
Ruto insulted small scale business women by calling them “mama mboga”, and others “hustlers”. But he sent the lady away after the photo ops. Everything Ruto debated to himself was a big LIE.
Ruto attended the debate to seek sympathy not to be prosecuted by the ICC. He talked about the people who have died by being killed by Ruto’s own bandits in Kerio Valley as a ploy to damage his political mileage. These bandits are spinsored by Ruto himself.
He talked about “state capture” to hood wink kenyans because the term state capture simply means wsr’s self engineered corruption, graft snd theft of state resourcesby ruto himself.
He still has not figured out who his running mates are because his guns were focused on Uhuru who has continued to trick ruto to make ruto fail. Uhuru has really cheapened and everything euro stands for. Uhuru always speaks the facts while ruto tells lies.
Ruto looked tired, unsure of facts and himself, ashamed because he knows he is a thief, he chewed his rips regularly which is a sign of a liar and he was heavily sweating. This was the only time Ruto was not high on Wajackoya’s bhangi to help him keep his filthy motor mouth running.
Ruto destroyed himself and his character as he attempted to incriminate others without facts. Raila set a stage for Ruto to reveal himself to Kenyans and the world so that he could show the kind of lose morals character Ruto is.
It was the worst one man debate ever conducted by cool moderators who deeply exposed wsr’s flawed character and the corrupt state of mind.
