Speaker Justin Muturi Signs a Coalition Pact with Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance

National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has formally joined the Kenya Kwanza alliance, which is led by Deputy President William Ruto.

Muturi, who is the leader of the Democratic Party (DP), signed a coalition agreement with the alliance at a Nairobi hotel on Saturday.

The signing of the agreement was witnessed by Ruto and other Kenya Kwanza principals Musalia Mudavadi of ANC and Ford-Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula.

“I am joining Kenya Kwanza because I believe in it. In fact, I was the pioneer of the name Kenya Kwanza. I did promise as instructed by the party’s NDC that I would consult with all like-minded leaders to ensure our country moves forward. I am very happy that my party has given me the bargain with my brothers that we cannot be if the others aren’t,” said Muturi, who had previously declared interest in the presidency under DP.

“We all belong and Kenya is bigger than all of us. I am happy that after several conversations today we have realized the dream of working together to build a better Kenya for our children’s children.”

While welcoming Muturi to the alliance, Ruto termed the Democratic Party, which was founded by former president Mwai Kibaki, as a landmark for economy-centered politics.

“Democratic Party (DP) was started by Kenya’s first economist Mwai Kibaki and third president whose forte has always been the economy. We are very proud that we are joined by DP which has a history in our republic and the party that has history about our economy which is associated with our third president, the finest economist we ever had in Kenya, Mwai Kibaki,” Ruto stated.

The deputy president, who is eyeing the presidency under the UDA party, said the joining of Muturi makes winning the August 9th elections a reality.

“I am very happy, we believe as Kenya Kwanza, joined by the DP this morning, that the most important conversation in Kenya is the conversation of the ordinary people. We are very proud that we are enlarging this team and making the winning of the next election a reality,” he noted.

  2. The IEBC should disqualify…
The IEBC should disqualify Samoei from running for the presidency of Kenya come August 09, 2022. Why? He has squandered a lot of our state resources for the last four years. This man (Samoei) campaigned almost daily while distributing our state resources illegally to extremely corrupt members of the clergy.
For those of you in academia who were able to complete your doctorate, you know how demanding and rigorous the program can be. Yet, ndugu Samoei claims to have completed his doctorate while at the same time working full time (impossible) as a vice president under President Uhuru Ngina Kamau!

He should be asked to reimburse the state for wasting tax payers money while building his business empire without performing his required duties as the vice president of the Republic of Kenya.

Samoei should shelve his ambitious plan to be the next president of Kenya and concentrate on running his personal and private businesses without the state providing security for his businesses.

Anyone with so much wealth should not be allowed to run for any public elective office. Why? S/he will focus on getting richer while taking advantage of the immense power that come along with being “president” of the country.

    • Dont you think it is too…
Dont you think it is too late to stop a speeding wide receiver near the end zone? Not even a time out or a yellow flag can stop him at the one yard line.

  3. Muturi went to take that…
Muturi went to take that ritual in Murang’a last year saying he will be the next president of Kenya.
