I Will Be an Evangelist When I Retire from Politics, Ruto Says

Deputy President William Ruto says he intends to become an evangelist once he is done with politics.

Ruto, who is eyeing the presidency in next year’s elections, said he would want to help more people enter the kingdom of God.

“Although I am not a preacher, I have a Christian background. I have told the bishops today that when I am done with leadership, I want to be an evangelist because I want to be a contributor towards people going to heaven,” said Ruto.

The deputy president was speaking on Monday at ACK Cathedral in Nyeri town where he held a meeting with Bishop Joseph Kagunda and 1,000 other church leaders.

At the same time, Ruto, who has been on a three day tour of Nyeri County to drum up support for his presidential bid, said his bottom-up economic plan is drawn from the bible.

“As Christians, you might be wondering where this bottom-up is all about. But note this: the story of bottom-up is from psalms 113:7-8, where the lord talks about raising the poor from the dust,” Ruto said.

“In Acts 20:35, Paul tells us not to forget the weak… for it is the Lord Jesus Christ himself who said it is more blessed to give than to receive.”

He promised to use the model to unite Kenyans and revamp the country’s economy if he is elected president next year.

“That is why in our program we are saying we must build a nation that brings everybody on board, right from the bottom,” he added.

This slithering snake knows how to politic. Saying all the right things to get vote and people all buying his bs. He’s been a deputy president for almost 8 years now. Why couldn’t he use his so called bottom up approach then or now? Sometimes I don’t know if I should laugh or cry at his rhetoric. He’s now quoting scriptures to wheel voters in.

Do I hear him say he has a visa to heaven? I will remind him Omar Al Khayam’s Rubáiyát:

“And do you think that unto such as you

God gave a secret, and denied it me?
Well, well—what matters it? Believe that, too?”

What makes this fanatic fundamentalist think he has exclusive access to the truth?

People who do not agree with Ruto can say whatever they want about him but this man understands Kenyan voters more than they understand themselves. He is able to predict what directions they are heading before they even take the first step. Ask yourself this question, why would Central Kenya constituents support him even after he has embarrassed and fallen out with one of their own? Why would they support him knowing damn well the serious allegations of the Kiambaa church burning, why would they support him after he spearheaded the demise of the BBI which was supposed to bring more revenue to their region? Mganga si Raila, ni hiki kimkalee.

Since he intends to be a preacher, this contradicts claims some make that ,it’s acalling from God.Which begs the question who is atrue man of God? Isee -a prophet for profit in the making. It is commonly agreed upon by Christians, that all one has to do is accept JC,to enter the Kingdom of heaven. This does not call for one to be apreacher…yeah, a calling.

History is full of many conmen. We are witnessing one of the most ruthless right in front of our eyes. Poor Kenyans. We will be sorry.

  13. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GOD AND…
    DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GOD AND CREATOR

There is a GOD and a CREATOR. GOD is a man-made deity invented by many cultures around the world. However, not all cultures invented a man-made GOD. Some cultures worshipped their ancestors while others worshipped spirits or certain animals. This man-made GOD is very violent. If you don’t believe me, just read the two books with billions of followers.

When writing was invented by a few cultures, they wrote down their belief system and forced those without a written GOD to conform to their man-made GOD. This man-made GOD demands prayers and must be worshipped. This GOD creates fear by threatening the living that there is a HELL or HEAVEN after death if they disobey or obey him.

The CREATOR is responsible for all living (visible and invisible) things. The CREATOR is neither male nor female. Therefore, you can’t use the pronoun “he” to describe this CREATOR. The duty of this CREATOR is accomplished after birth. What you do with your life does not depend on this CREATOR. It depends on the choices that you make or don’t make in your life.

Unfortunately, all formerly colonized people are worshipping a man-made GOD brought by the European and Arab conquerors. This GOD encourages the strong to invade the weak and occupy their land and minds. This is the European and Arab GOD. Slavery is included in the “holy books” of the Europeans and the Arab GOD.

    • @ Imara Daima, I totally…
@ Imara Daima, I totally agree with you. The creator in his/her /its wisdom gave us brains and wants us to put that brain to good use. That is make decisions, discoveries, enlightenment, peace, love and other attributes that would make our lives worth living on this earth. The creator does not threaten or punish his creations. What would be the point in creating them in the first place?
The two religions have done agood job harping on people’s fear of the unknown to spread their doctrines/beliefs,and discouraging the followers from questioning what God supposedly commanded.
Right now, we are faced with this Covid 19 pandemic. We as human beings are using brains to combat it,and doing agood job. If we rely on prayers, and miracles, we would be waiting till kingdom come…
Yes, I know those who believe in these two big religions will proclaim that, that’s how their God works. But then what happened to the healing of the blind man, the cripple, and feeding 5000 people on a loaf of bread. Shouldnt we see more of this?

“Wisdom is Wealth.” Akili ni Mali.
I like your words of wisdom Ndugu Maxiley. Great job! Our late Brother Ndugu Pombe Magufuli of Tanzania believed in the Jewish/Roman/European man-made God. He asked his entire nation to pray to the fake man-made God of the Jewish/European God in order to get rid of COVID-19! Now, our brother is two meters/six feet below the surface of the ground.
Brother Pombe Magufuli did not use wisely the gift of creations also known as the “Mighty Brain.” Shame on him!

@Ndugu Imara Daima, over the years we have shared alot on this topic of religion, and I greatly value your depth, and insight.
Last week a muslim friend kicked me out of her house when I showed disappointment in what she was telling me,and that is” a male doctor cannot treat a female patient”,and same goes to amale doctor. He cannot treat a female patient.I would hope that in matters of life and death, common sense would overule.Do you know anything about this? In matters of health why would muslims behave differently.Shouldn’t the guidelines of the medical community rule supreme. Any knowledge on this issue?

  17. MALE AND FEMALE PATTERN OF…
MALE AND FEMALE PATTERN OF BEHAVIORS AMONG THE ARABS:
    @ Maxiley:
Referring to a word coined by the late Dr. Wangari Mathaai “micro nation” that she created to replace the negative slave/colonial negative lexical item “tribe,” I will use this word to be able to answer your question about some challenging belief systems our Arab brothers and sisters hold about male/female doctor relationships.
Ndugu Maxiley, you are lucky that a female Muslim friend invited you into her house! That is not supposed to happen unless a male companion is present! That’s amazing indeed. Wow! The relationship between man and woman in this Arab micro nation is very strict.
First, if a woman is not a virgin at the time of marriage, the marriage becomes null and void! A man is not allowed to have any eye contact with a woman who is not a family member or husband. This pattern of behavior predates the “religion of War” unfortunately labelled as “the religion of peace.” Shaking hands or hugging a member of the opposite sex is out of the question.
Second, a man can marry up to four wives, but the reverse is unheard of. Prayers in the mosque are conducted in such a way that men and women are totally separated. No wonder a male physician is not allowed to examine a female patient and vice versa. I sincerely believe that there are exceptions to this rigidity between male/female divisions in some isolated cases among the Arab micro nations.
Let me go back to the word “micro-nation.” Every micro nation is basically composed of the following components:
    1. Language
    2. Culture
    3. Religion
    4. History
The language makes it possible for each micro nation to create a pattern of behavior (culture) among members who share the same language. Then the culture and language combined come up with a pattern of behavior that reflects their world view that deals with metaphysics and a religion is developed. Kenya is composed of 70 distinct micro nations.

The current pattern of behaviors among the members of “the religion of war) predates Islam. Members of this religion do not treat women as equals. Please read Chapter 4:34 in the Koran and see how a husband is expected to treat a woman who disobeys her him. In the Bible, women are expected to “obey” their husbands while the men are expected just to “love” their wives.
In general, men have not treated women as equals. This pattern of thinking is universal in all cultures. For example, in Europe, women were treated just like “property.” That’s why the woman’s last name had to be that of her husband’s family name. How irrational and unfair!

    • Thanks alot for your…
Thanks alot for your response.I believe that as the world gets smaller by way of interactions with other cultures, and religions, these strong held views of women, and men that are counter productive to the modern world ashall die by attrition.
