Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka presented himself at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Nairobi over land grabbing allegations.
Musyoka, who arrived at the DCI land fraud offices on Wednesday morning in the company of his lawyers James Orengo and Mutula Kilonzo Jr, said he was there to honor summons.
In January, Musyoka presented himself to DCI for questioning after Deputy President William Ruto accused him of grabbing a 200-acre parcel of land in Yatta from the National Youth Service (NYS). He invited both the DCI and Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate the matter in a bid to clear his name.
“I own the land legally, the claim by the Deputy President is outrageous and I challenge him to substantiate his allegations,” Kalonzo said at the time.
Addressing the press on Wednesday, Musyoka said the DCI found no evidence to prove that he illegally acquired the property in question.
“Today the lies have been exposed. The DCI has found zero evidence of wrongdoing on my part. This reflects my principles and values in life that you do not have to steal to become relevant in society. Hard work always pays,” said Kalonzo.
He challenged Ruto to follow suit and voluntarily appear before the DCI for scrutiny on his wealth and clear his name of the many scandals he has been implicated in. Musyoka also called for a mandatory lifestyle audit for anyone seeking an elective position in the upcoming elections.
“Kenyans must be wise and seek clarity from vote seekers about truths on their possessions and public service track records. We cannot have a man who deeps his hand into the cookie jar at every single opportunity and at the same time presenting himself as the messiah,” he said.

Show of force!! You did not…
Show of force!! You did not need Orengo and Mutula just to honor summons! This is intended to intimidate the DCI. When Philomena Mbete Mwilu was summoned before the court for Ksh 12million corruption, Orengo and Kalonzo were on hand to intimidate the court. We have never heard about the case again! Corruption and looting of public resources is a preserve for the leaders and elites in Kenya! They are the cockroaches that the awakened Kenyans will have to smash and destroy!
