Police in Nairobi have opened a probe into the death of a 34-year-old woman who was reported a few weeks ago.
The decomposing body of Sheila Kawira Mwirichia was found inside her apartment in Nairobi’s Lavington estate on Tuesday.
Her body was discovered after the caretaker of Lavington Valley apartment Nelson Akonyo sensed a foul smell emanating from the deceased’s house.
He alerted police who gained entry into the house by breaking down the door and found her half-naked body in the sitting room.
The body was taken to Montezuma Funeral Home pending postmortem examination and a report filed at Muthangari Police Station under the OB number 56/3/11/2020. Investigations are underway to establish the cause of her death.
