National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader Raila Odinga has broken his silence on the deportation of former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna.
The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) general was flushed out of Kenya to Canada on Tuesday night by government on allegations of being in the country illegally.
Prior to his deportation, the lawyer had been in police custody for five days for consenting to administer an illegal oath to opposition leader Raila as the people’s president on January 30th at Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi.
Speaking during an interview with Standard newspaper, Odinga termed the decision to deport Miguna as an attempt to stop the ongoing push for electoral justice and reforms that has left the illegitimate Jubilee administration in fear.
Odinga further said Miguna’s deportation is a violation of his Constitutional rights, which guarantees his right to citizenship, having being born in Kenya.
Raila said the absence of general Miguna will not affect the operations of National Resistance Movement, as more people are willing to rise and say no to rigging.
“His deportation will not affect the plans of the National Resistance Movement (NRM). Every revolution gets its leaders from the people and another shall rise to fill Miguna’s shoes,” Raila said.
On the government declaring National Resistance Movement (NRM) a criminal organization, Odinga said: “NRM is not an organisation, it is an idea in the hearts and minds of the people. Matiang’i is and will continue chasing shadows.”
‘The absence of Miguna means…

I understand Miguna…
I understand Miguna denounced his Kenyan citizenship once he received his Canadian one.. and instead of following THE LAW to reinstate his Kenyan citizenship; once he realized Kenya was his roots :-), he went to his TRIBESMAN who was in charge of immigration and BRIBED his way to illegally BUY his constitutional right back 🙂
Now accusing GoK of being unconstitutional…. HYPOCRISY is made of this.
