Wiper Leader Threatens to Marshal MPs to Ditch NASA

Mwingi Central Member of Parliament Gideon Mulyungi has threatened to lead Wiper Party leaders in ditching National Super Alliance (NASA).

The first time MP accused Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), an affiliate party of Nasa of taking all crucial positions reserved for the opposition in the National Assembly and in the Senate

Speaking when he hosted a delegation of Clergy drawn from across his constituency at his residence at Kalisasi in Mwingi Central, Mulyungi threatened to rally MPs from the Kalonzo-led party to ditch the opposition alliance.

“We cannot claim to be in a coalition with a party that takes all the cake to itself while leaving us to share leftovers. This is unacceptable,” the MP said.

Mulyungi said Nasa is headed for a major split due to refusal by its principals to root for equal sharing of positions amongst its affiliate parties. Nasa was born after Raila’s ODM, Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress, Wetangula’s Ford Kenya and Wiper joined hands in bid to oust President Kenyatta from power.

In Parliament, ODM took Minority leader, Minority Chief Whip as well as crucial Public Investment Committee (PIC) and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairmanship.

Amani National Congress party has also threatened to walk out of Nasa after accusing ODM of shortchanging it sharing of House posts.
