NASA MP Shot as Tensions Remain High in Baba Dogo

Police have shot Mathare North MP Anthony Oluoch. Oluoch was shot in the leg as anti-riot police tried to dispersed irate group youth who were demonstrating over killings that happened in Baba Dogo estate in Nairobi early Sunday morning.

The MP was rushed to Nairobi Hospital for treatment. Opposition leaders led by Raila Odinga are expected to visit him at the facility.

Tension remains high in Baba Dogo after four people were killed by unknown assailants. Bodies of the four were still lying at the scene of the incident at 10am on Sunday. An engagement between the police and local residents ensued as they tried to block security officers from accessing the bodies.

While locals says police are responsible for the killings, Nairobi Police Commander Japheth Koome said the killings are crime-related and distanced the police from it.

Area MP Tom Kajwang’ condemned the killings and urged police to hands the situation carefully.

“I want to grieve with our people and also to tell Matiang’i and the police to carefully handle this matter bearing in mind that ICC is watching,” Kajwang’ said from Kisumu.

“The police with no provocation opened fire on us and shot tear gas canisters. In the melee, Oluoch suffered a multiple compound fracture of the left leg,” NASA said in a statement.

Uhuru will not be able to control Kenya.
    Neither will Raila.

    Kenya needs a care-taker government.

The problem is Uhuru Kenyatta and his advisors are too daft to see there is an invisible force that is involved in all this. They can’t fight what they can’t see or even understand.

    O well.

    • You amaze me , you say …
You amaze me , you say “Uhuru and Raila will not able to control Kenya” then conveniently exonerates your baba and pile the blame solely on Uhuru and his advisors SMH .

How did the police aim at his leg not his head? Him, Arati as well as Raila should be in some morgue.

    • If Uhuru is unable to govern…
If Uhuru is unable to govern, it’s simply because he’s too soft. Put me in State House and I’ll bring order within days. Violence, as base as it is, is an extension of diplomacy, which, when applied intelligently, works very well. I don’t support Uhuru but I’ll tell you one thing – Raila Amolo Odinga shall never become president in Kenya. He, too, doesn’t have a clue about the forces arraigned against him. And his readiness to sell the country to his western gods where he keeps running to has already lost him a huge swathe of the population, especially from central and Rift Valley. Hawa watu hawapendi kusikia mzungu all the time.

These goons may have resulted to killing their own people and blame it on the police. Pole mheshimiwa for being shot in the leg.

Police should round up all these thugs causing trouble and lock them up. Get the videos and pictures on the newspapers/CCTV. People know them let them rot in prison. Fake Joshua came back with too much negative energy & demons.

@Doreen: You are right. Neither Rails nor Uhuru is fit for leadership of our beautiful country Kenya.

I will not forget or forgive Dr. Daniel Toroitich Kipkorios Arap Moi for pushing an alcoholic and drug user and his deputy president who is entirely morally bankrupt to lead the nation of the literate and well informed people of Kenya.

When I saw the people of Zimbabwe demonstrating peacefully without the presence of the policemen around, made me appreciate the government and the people of Zimbabwe.

Uhuru and Ruth after losing the war in Somalia, are showing off by treating the Luo people as if they are Somalis. They are killing the Luo people in order to boost their criminal egos, and their total failure to govern Kenya as one nation. Don’t forget, these two people were accused of committing crimes against humanity and hired the best criminals (lawyers) to defend them in Hague. We all know the roles they played in directing the deaths of over 1,000 innocent people

Uhuru, resign today so that you can devote your time in drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana.

Shame on you Toroitich for pushing two misfits into the leadership of our beautiful country land of Kenya.

Uhuru is the New Idi Amin Dada of Kenya. You become an Idi Amin when you start killing a segment of people you don’t like when you the leader of the entire nation.

@Njai and Anonymous: Because of the current advances in technology, I know who you are! Tell your friend the new “Kenyan Idi Amin Dada to resign and take care of his personal businesses. What’s wrong with him? Looking for advise from a 93 year- old failed dictator? Can’t he see that his friend Mugabe who is one year younger than he is has been shut out by the people of Zimbabwe from the party leadership?

What’s wrong with Uhuru? He should seek advice from the best president that Kenyan people have ever had, Ndugu Mwai Kibaki! Mwai, where are you? Save us from our new Idi Amin Dada!
