Former radio personality Caroline Mutoko has caused a stir online after giving her take on why the number of males catching Covid-19 is higher than that of females.
Mutoko through a video released on social media on Tuesday blamed the trend on men’s laxity and don’t care attitude towards things like hygiene.
“Gentlemen can we speak candidly, corona is hospitalizing more men than women and I can only speak for my country. Covid-19 is taking our men, not just because Covid-19 is predisposed to a chromosome, this is not an X, Y issue. Let me start with the obvious’. We all know wanaume hamuwezi ambiwa. Number two you hate water. Someone has to tell you to wash your hands,” she noted.

She went further to discredit the theory alluding that men are more exposed to Covid-19 due to their role as breadwinners.
“Don’t give me the story about fending for families – there’s no ‘fending’ at 1am in a bar. Gentlemen – get serious. COVID-19 kills. For heaven’s sake even if you don’t care for a small virus, care about the lives that depend on you. If you are a father you do not belong to yourself, you belong to your children. So if you choose not to wash your hands and sanitize.”
She added: “If you choose not to wear your mask properly not as a chin guard you put all your lives at risk not just yours but that of your family. My fellow countrymen take this disease seriously. Covid-19 is not predisposed to attack men.”
Her video elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans online with some agreeing and others disagreeing with her sentiments.

Believe me many Kenyan women have worse mouth than hers! I just plit with mine because of her venomous abusive mouth! She caused me to stay in the bars until after 1 PM. Covid19 infection did not even matter.
And when the bars closed, I went to sleep under a big tree next to my house! Boy, women can make you homeless even when you have worked so hard to build a desirable home!
Not looking for one any time soon. I’m now very happy and satisfied. I can now even deal with covid19 with less stress if it happened to come.
I feared my old lady far worse that catching Covid19! Mutoko need to help women understand men need some loving and kind words too!

Men are now caught between dealing with loud mouth women or coronavirus! And for the sake of peace of mind, men have chosen to stick it out to the bars past 1 AM hoping to find the nagging wives asleep when they get home!
It is the same thing with wives driving men to marrying a second wife. Treat men with some decency and class and they will be longing to get home early enough to hang out with you and the children! Nagging wives mess it up for every body to include children not getting to see their fathers!
