[VIDEO] Uproar as Kenyan Man is Captured on CCTV Beating Female Supermarket Cashier

A video of a Kenyan man mercilessly beating up a female supermarket cashier has gone viral, sparking outrage from social media users.

The incident allegedly happened at Eastmart Supermarket in Kajiado town on Tuesday, November 19th at around 2:15 pm.

At the beginning of the CCTV footage, the male customer appears to be in a heated argument with the cashier before he repeatedly slaps her.

He goes ahead to pull her from the counter and continues raining blows on her until after other supermarket workers intervene.

The video angered Kenyans online, with many asking Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to arrest and prosecute the suspect.

Alleos Kaballeros said: “This is assault and I saw another man walk away instead of intervening. Even if the lady was wrong I believe there are proper systems within the company laws to deal with her. Kudos to the brave man who came in to stop this nonsense.”

Eric Noble advised: “Well, I’ve been in the hospitality industry for a while. Is a place you meet different kind of people with different characters but all you need to do is, be wise and smart. Read the person’s body language first. Customers are not your friends.”

Javan Mwangi Mburu noted: “This is one dangerous case if the victim get a lawyer assault kwanza with such a video the guy can cool porridge in Kamiti for years.”

Ken Arumi noted: “Sad indeed that’s a cashier that he doesn’t even know what of her wife or girlfriend in case he has.”

Alfuu Alfie wrote: “The guy behind the cashier who walks away should be arrested as well…..azin how can he walk away leaving the lady to be beaten.”
Ponciano Odongo Odieny posed: “Is the supermarket operating without security details?”

Patista Allan posed: “A woman is not supposed to be beaten, assaulted, not even a slap, which kind of men are we having??”

Nchekei Ruth: “I pity that man’s family if he has any. He’s the abusive kind. He should be arrested.”

Aggrey Mmbaya said: “This not right at all action should be taken asap.”

This is wananchi behaving like their leaders and i’m not refering to Sonko and Kiambu governor. It’s Uhuru saying he will fix the judiciary when he gets to power.

  2. I see now why president…
I see now why president Uhuru commissioned study on mental health of Kenyans.Special attention should be paid on men.Not too long ago they were on a suicide watch list, and now they have declared war on women.
This week some nut case in bungoma raped, and then chopped off a hand of the victim. It is also reported that 6 rapes on university students have accured in the last few weeks,in the same area.Could the government please deploy 50 millitary men to secure this location till these rapists are caught. What a shame.

Vitu kwa ground ni different bro …. this country is about to explode .. stay tuned

Check your balls fellas. Yeah, I’m talking to those who have fought or roughed up or hurt a woman. Can you feel those balls shrinking? Yup. It’s in the process of being replaced with the alternative

  4. Forget about who walked away…
Forget about who walked away, but where was the company’s security at time of need? The worker (not merely a woman) should sue the company for negligence. Period. The perpetrator should of course face the full force of the law. But the worker should take extended time off (with full pay) and if she has a good lawyer should sue the company to high heavens. The days of slavery were abolished ages ago..catch up!

    • @ Sukari, I share your…
@ Sukari, I share your sentiments.I dont know if suing in Kenya on such matter will have as much effect as doing so in a country like the USA. I hope so.
I know people behaving badly ,especially toward women is every where in the world. But more so in patriarchal societies like Kenya.
No matter how angry she makes me, I dont see why I should hit a woman.Yes,I know men who do that will not agree with me.To some men beating a woman is almost normal.
I hate to say this, but change will come when women cannot take it anymore.Hey if it means chopping off transformers to effect this change, fine by me.As much as I appreciate laws that protect persons from injury,or abuse, they cannot help the injured person. In other words they come after the fact. Someone once said laws are there to protect good men from doing bad things…
In Japan, to protect women from being groped,or touched inappropriately, have WOMEN ONLY trains.Do we really want to go that route?.Let’s respect our women. They are our mothers, aunties, sisters, wives, mistresses…and daughters.
And yes Iam aware of the fact that some women can make men mad as hell, and Iam also aware of the fact that some woomen beat up their men.But as a civilized society we cannot condone this barbaric behavior.I would like to think that we as a society have evolved from the caveman era.My two cents.

@Maxiley… one would hope we had more like you. We now know the guy was a supervisor! No wonder the other guys were walking off. Talk about power going to his head! Pathetic.
