Detectives Arrest Two Suspects in Nairobi for Printing Fake Passports

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested two suspects for allegedly printing fake passports in Nairobi.

The suspects, identified as Mohamed Ismail Ibrahim and Ali Ibrahim Barow, were arrested in Nairobi on Saturday.

In a statement, the DCI says the two are believed to be part of a racket that has been making fake travel documents and smuggling illegal immigrants from Kenya to other countries.

“Detectives believe that the two suspects are part of a larger group that smuggles migrants from the region to other countries. Investigations on the matter continue,” the DCI says.

During the raid at a hotel in Nairobi’s Eastleigh Estate, detectives confiscated several Kenyan, Somali and Ethiopian passports.

The arrest of the two comes less than a week after Immigration officers nabbed a woman in Kawangware, Nairobi, for printing and selling fake birth and death certificates.

The suspect, Jackline Kwamboka, was found to be in possession of a computer, printer, seal for civil registrations and other assorted documents.

The DCI said the suspect has been making the fake documents and selling them to unsuspecting Kenyans.

  1. A lawless country led by all…
A lawless country led by all the politicians and government officials. No accountability and no fear of punishment once you are caught. Everyone is corrupt in our republic. Poor Kenya the whole country has gone to the dogs. The syndicate has succeeded in planting their roots in the whole country.
