I haven’t abandoned you, Opposition leader Raila Odinga has assured his supporters as he downplays claims that he has joined oppressors.
Speaking in Kisumu on Monday, Odinga defended his decision to back the 8 percent Value Added Tax (V.A.T) on petroleum products and other taxes proposed by President Kenyatta in the Finance Bill, 2018.
“I have been at the forefront in advocating for the rights of Kenyans, and so I would not agree to something I know would burden the people,” said Odinga.
He continued: “For many years I spoke to these people (Jubilee government) but they refused to listen… they said I was lying and told me to go back to the village and dig. I told them that if they took too many loans without proper investments then it would come back to burden them.”
Odinga explained that he only agreed to support President Uhuru’s proposals with specific conditions as the leader of opposition.
“We decided to support the VAT on the condition that such budgets as for leaders going to watch football in Russia, traveling First/Business Class and going for bench marking and bonding trips in Arusha must be cut down,” Raila who spoke during event organised by Unaitas Sacco said.
“Leaders who get into the government without much and one day later are already fatter must also be done away with.”
Kenya can’t pay her bills…
Kenya can’t pay her bills because the country’s money is in the pockets of the likes of Rails and all our dishonorable members: Kidero, Waiguru, Ruto, Gideon Moi, the cabinet secretaries thieves and all those enemies of people who sneak behind procurements; such as Jimmy Wanjigi, calling themselves millionaires after looting wananchi’s money. Bring home all the money hidden in foreign banks by corrupt leaders and judges and the tax evading Indian business men ; who only consider themselves Kenyans while milking us, and Kenya will have no problem paying her loans.

First things first. Amend the constitution and give us nor more than 100 mps, scrap the useless senate, remove the position of Governor and elect MCA’s who once they assemble will elect one of them as County chairman for a period of 2.5 years each and a speakeer of their house. Cut everyone’s salary by half and ensure full accountability. No country can go on the way we are with very high wages being paid to a bunch of useless people who do absolutely nothing of value to the country.
Bad idea.

If Kenyans in Kenya can’t save themselves, secession is the answer.
Divide that country into two.
Raila ” I would not agree to…
Raila ” I would not agree to something that would burden the people”- Why did you commit the country to a second election and then not participate? Why did you suggest devolution and divide the country into 47 counties? Do not pretend to be holier than thou. You are the source of most problems in Kenya. Starting with the foreign names you bring to your organization. Pentagon, NASA, Capital Hill- everything western. No originality. Sorry, on that trend you can never be trusted and will never rule Kenya. By the way, there is no opposition in Kenya today. You, Raila are one and the same with the eaters. Continue, so Dynasties can move out of the way, come 2022. God help Kenya!!!
