National Super Alliance (Nasa) says that it has so far collected Sh20 million as supporters continue to buy their “tickets to Canaan”.
The public fundraising appeal through M-Pesa paybill initiative was unveiled by Nasa leader Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka last week.
“Whether you donated Sh20 or Sh20,000 or Sh2 million, you are now plugged into the journey to bring electoral justice and accountability to Kenya. Your cents have become Sh20 million,” said Musalia Mudavadi, Nasa’s head of national campaign.
The ANC party leader said nearly half of the donations were received from small donors, giving Sh1000 or less, adding that this indicates that Nasa is in the middle of a truly inclusive and people driven campaign.
Mudavadi called on supporters to continue making financial support saying that the campaign it has embarked on is going to be long and costly.
Mudavadi said that Nasa was competing against an opponent that has unfettered access to State resources and big businesses.
“We are more than 10 million strong. If each one of us sent one shilling, that would automatically translate into Sh10 million,” Mr Mudavadi added.
Way to go let us continue to…
Way to go let us continue to book our way to Canaan
History has taught us that…
History has taught us that you cannot buy a politician but you can only RENT one.
Now that the NASWA morons and conmen led by Ojinga are broke, Kenyans must make a few conclusions.
a) For Ojinga to sell tickets to a fake Canaan is to engage in nothing but POLITICAL CONMANSHIP.To us peasants who cannot feed their children to send him campaign money is merciless and downright cruel and this is why Ojinga is nothing but the LORD OF POVERTY. This lad has a hole in his soul.
b) If Ojinga is asking for campaign money from peasants it means he cannot pay the RENTED politicians like Isaac Rutto and Peter Munya and this is why they are abandoning him one by one and the principle is simple – NO FINANCES,NO ROMANCE.
People tend to gravitate towards a WINNER and not a GAMBLER like the lad Ojinga and this explains why politicians are abandoning Ojinga because it doesn’t go wrong, It starts wrong.
I hear that numbers do not…
I hear that numbers do not matter, but I am curious how many individuals bought in to the idea? or it is a few fellas “buying” tickets for everyone else?
