The prestigious contract for overseas UK visa and citizenship services has been awarded to VFS Global, the leading provider of visa, passport, and citizen services on a global scale.
Since 2003, VFS Global has earned the trust of the UK Government, and the company’s recent achievement fortifies its already-established reputation as a quality provider. VFS Global strives to have 240 Visa and Citizenship Application Service (VCAS) Centers in 142 countries across the globe, spanning Africa and the Middle East, China, and Taiwan by 2024. These hubs boast full-fledged capacities for managing a wide array of visa applications, including select locations for processing UK passport applications.
Altogether, these sites are anticipated to handle a staggering 3.8 million applications every year. VFS Global has listed Algeria, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Morocco, and Zimbabwe among the 31 African countries it hopes to deploy VCAS centres in the coming year. In addition to the significant scale of deployment, VFS Global has promised to augment accessibility and delightful customer experience. To fulfil this resolution, the company is planning to invest in modernized in-person interactions and creative customer-tailored web portals.
The new deal is expected to result in cost savings for the UK Government. Zubin Karkaria, the visionary behind VFS Global and its Chief Executive Officer, conveys his elation regarding the successful bid and the subsequent expansion of their collaboration with the Home Office. He emphasizes their unwavering dedication to delivering top-notch services to their esteemed government clientele and their enthusiasm to venture into uncharted territories.
This achievement comes after renewing the visa service contract with Sweden and awarding Australia the global biometric collection service mandate. Nigeria is one of the top four application locations, and the UK remains a popular destination for Africans.
