Former KTN News anchor Brenda Kerubo has secured a prestigious position as a Desk Producer at Bloomberg Television, a leading global media organization based in the United States.

Through a LinkedIn announcement, Kerubo expresses her enthusiasm about her new role which will focus on reporting Europe’s financial markets, corporate developments, and economic dynamics. Kerubo’s professional trajectory reflects a distinguished career in journalism and communications. Prior to her Bloomberg appointment, she served as a Communication Consultant at the World Bank from September 2022 to September 2023.

Her tenure at the Standard Group and KTN News between January 2019 and July 2022 was particularly notable, where she anchored the morning business show Business Café and hosted the weekly leadership program Captains of Industry. Her media industry journey commenced in 2011 at CGTN Africa, where she worked as a Broadcast Business Writer for five years. During this period, she developed expertise in reporting China-Africa relations and economic trends.

In 2016, Kerubo joined Mediamax Network Limited as a Broadcast Financial News Reporter and Producer, further expanding her professional repertoire. Academically, Kerubo’s credentials are equally impressive. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Kenya Methodist University and subsequently pursued advanced studies through the European Union’s prestigious Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Programme in Journalism, Media, and Globalisation. Her academic journey culminated in master’s degrees from Aarhus University in Denmark and City, University of London.

Additional professional development includes graduation from the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa Executive Training in 2017 and obtaining a Certificate in IMF Economics Reporting in 2022. Throughout her career, Kerubo has distinguished herself by conducting interviews with prominent international leaders, including European Council President Charles Michel and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Her professional versatility is further demonstrated by her role as a Global Moderator, facilitating significant events such as the USAID Kenya Investment Mechanism Learning Event in 2022 and the EU Youth Entrepreneurs in Green Business Forum in 2021.
