A family in Muhanda, Gem is currently seeking answers after their relative met a mysterious demise in Cape Town, South Africa.
The deceased, Enock Wamare Hosea, also known as ‘Blacky’, had resided in Cape Town for 11 years. In 2013, he was awarded a scholarship from Maseno University and went on to pursue pure accounting at the esteemed University of Cape Town. He continued to live in South Africa until his untimely death.
Late on Wednesday night, Enock’s brother, Washington Obara, received a shocking call from his sister informing him of the tragic news. According to his friends in South Africa, Enock was allegedly attacked at his residence by individuals he worked with in the taxi industry. They claim that the assailants drove to his house where they mercilessly stabbed him to death. Obara added that after completing his studies, Enock ventured into various businesses, including a hairdressing salon, a spur, and a taxi service in Cape Town.
The family is urging the Kenya High Commission in South Africa to intervene and shed light on the reasons behind the murder. They are also requesting the government’s assistance in repatriating the deceased’s body from South Africa to Kenya for a proper burial. Mr. Obara additionally calls upon the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to address the safety concerns of Kenyans residing abroad.
“The government should issue red alerts on countries that are unsafe for Kenyans. My brother was studying and just doing his business without breaking the law,” he said.
Post Traumatic Apartheid…
Post Traumatic Apartheid Syndrome is a huge problem with post-apartheid African South Africans. Many do not have economic survival skills and take out their anger on other non-native Africans who are doing well. As a matter of fact they have a name for them, “makwerakwera”.

South Africans are proving…
South Africans are proving to be worse than Nigerians who will steal your money and leave you to sort yourself out. They need to be isolated like North Korea. They cannot claim they want foreign investment yet treat their fellow Africans like Dogs.Let them do business only with whites and Oprah aka rich black Americans only as if that is enough to sustain them. They of all people should know that white people are hateful beings
Africa we have a big problem…
Africa we have a big problem of identity.Forget about United states of Africa in the foreseeable future. We have these sectarian enclaves we hold dearly to the detriment of any unity.Worse, some dont even consider themselves africans. I dont put much stock to the rantings of Somalis on social media, not wanting to be identified as africans,or blacks, because they have the Arab lineage. They dont contribute much positively to the continent anyway. But it concerns me when the North Africans openly claim to identify more with the Arabs first then Africans second.Obviously their allegiance goes to their fellow Arabs, and Muslims. This is no recipe for unity.
No wonder AU just exists only to bark, and hold its tail between its legs. It’s time to disband it.All it does is hold lavish parties, ride around in fancy cars, and fly home to continue collecting easy paychecks.
Fruits of corruption… most…
Fruits of corruption… most of our people should be in kenya not in foreign countries where they are unwanted n frowned upon. We cant create jobs for our people but instead encourage outsourcing of top brains for remittances.
Taxis aka matatu are run…
Taxis aka matatu are run Mafia style. As much as possible avoid such biz. RSA is highest in crime. Africans were shortchanged by Mandela big time, no land returned to them, instead they got US style welfare which promoted poverty. Lots of foreigners sell drugs and not helping their cause of looking for a better life. It’s a mess

I read a lot of hypocrisy in wholesale blame of South Africans but encouraging muuaji Raila to kill more Kenyans through his maandamano plus destruction of property.
