Kenyan-American Fugitive Wanted in Rwanda for Fraud Faces Extradition

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has filed an application seeking to hold a Kenyan-American fugitive wanted in Rwanda for fraud.

The DPP wants Nathan Loyd Ndung’u detained at the Inland Container Depot Police Station for 21 days pending the commencement of the extradition process.

The public prosecution in Rwanda charged Ndung’u with the offense of selling a property belonging to another person on October 18th, 2011.

On September 27th, 2012, a court in Rwanda tried him in absentia and convicted him of selling property belonging to another person, coupled with fraud as well as deceit. He was sentenced to five years in prison.

Ndung’u was arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Monday upon arrival from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York abroad a Kenya Airways flight. He was arrested by officers from INTERPOL National Central Bureau, Nairobi on a Red Notice Alert issued in 2012.

The prosecution urged the court not to release the fugitive on bail or bond, arguing that he may flee the country again. The court heard that he traveled out of the country with the INTERPOL Red Notice in place, hence he could leave again undetected.

The prosecution also told the court that Ndung’u holds dual citizenship as Kenyan and American and can therefore travel back to the US and assimilate with the residents without being detected. They added that Rwanda does not have extradition treaty with the US.

A ruling on the matter will be delivered on February 4th.

  1. Double shifts in nursing…
Double shifts in nursing homes or standing for prolonged hours as a security guard is not for our brother Nathan Loyd Ndung’u. He picked the wrong country to practice what Kenyans are known for; real estate fraud. What he failed to realize is that Kagame’s government will get you anywhere, any time, morning noon or night.

  2. Kenya is quick at arresting…
Kenya is quick at arresting those wanted by foreign governments!

Kenyans are mistreated abroad! Murahi Kagwe was smiling as he reported ” they failed English” to refer to nurses whose work is technical.

The rectangle of a head forgot common sense.

“You are not allowed to set an exam for persons you never trained, never participated in their training process nor did you offer them a syllabus and a marking scheme for your chosen exam”.

Mutahi Kagwe, a psssy subjected our nurses to ridicule! He never asked Cuban Doctors to sit for Swahili or English exams. Why was he unable to integrate this fine fit? Coz he has degrees but lackluster education!

    I don’t edit.
