  1. Truly glad that the process…
Truly glad that the process is quite clearly outlined in advance.
One question I have is why those in government expect kenyans in the diaspora to pay the high costs of travelling to the embassies to get this redundant number.

To travel to Ottawa from British Columbia will cost substantially in air fares and accommodations for a family of four.
I can only assume that the planners expected the exercise to fail while creating another opportunity to line their pockets with our taxes.
It’s time kenya citizens stand up and claim their constitutional right to government services without having to pay a penalty for them.

    • Asking the same question…
Asking the same question. How do you travel from British Columbia to Ottawa to get your huduma namba

  2. Why open the office till 3…
Why open the office till 3:30pm if they are serious? Why not 6pm? Which office closes at 3pm?

  3. Hi, am here in Toronto for…
Hi, am here in Toronto for the registration, apparently the Kenyan consulate officials are here for two days. You can imagine the line up, lots of Kenyans showed up to register, but they are only 3 officials and they’re here 2 days, May 25th/26th. Very slow. I wonder why they didn’t make it like a week’s exercise, since the majority of people are in Toronto. Very bizarre, it’s sad, they’re still operating as if they are in Nyayo house. Very dissatisfied with how they are carrying out this process. As it is,am 4hrs into waiting! Wish me luck!

  4. How will we get huduma…
How will we get huduma number for those in Iraq no kenya embassy here?

  5. I think the whole system has…
I think the whole system has an agenda behind it because why are diasporas taken to be of no consequence. How would a family of two or three or that mater be able to travel a distance of over 2000 miles? one it is expensive, two, inconvenient and time. consuming. Pleas device a better and easier way of dealing with this issue.

    • I agree with wangondu, needs…
I agree with wangondu, needs a better process cz traveling to Ottawa or Toronto is expensive and accommodation is a hustle incase you can’t get it done the same day.

  6. What is the purpose of this…
What is the purpose of this so called huduma namba and why in a hurry to get all Kenyan’s around the globe apply within a tight deadline? There is a protocol on how to register, but no explanation of why we are doing this. An exercise of this magnitude requires time?

  7. Asking the same “Hakuna…
    Asking the same “Hakuna matata”.
What’s all this rush about registering for Huduma number?Just so guys start taxing Diasporans for their pockets? These guys are running the country with zero funds. They have stolen everything and can no longer attend to daily operations ,thus tight deadlines..
And we don’t all reside in Ottawa,it doesn’t make sense telling us to travel to OTTAWA from BC.I guess they have no clue of the distance and costs.

  8. Why can’t we get a huduma…
Why can’t we get a huduma number from ottawa at any time if you have all supporting documents?. Why was it open only for 45 days? With covid we cannot go to Washington to apply for huduma number.
