Renowned United States tax consultancy firm Andersen Global has officially entered Kenyan market following the opening of its offices in Nairobi.
The move by the American tax advisory company was informed by the increasing number of multinationals with local subsidiaries and direct investment in East Africa region.
The Minnesota-based company first entered Kenya early this year after entering into a partnership deal with Nexus Business Advisory, a Kenyan tax advisory firm established by former Head of Tax and Partner at KPMG East Africa, Philip Muema.
Andersen’s chief executive Mark Vorsatz said the Nairobi office will serve as the company’s East Africa region headquarters with Muema as the managing partner.
“The launch of Andersen name and trade mark in East Africa is the next step in expanding and strengthening our presence in this key market,” Vorsatz said.
Muema has also joined Andersen Global’s Advisory Council, the body that oversees the evolving needs of the global company.
Speaking at the launch of the hub, Muema said Andersen’s entry into Kenya will provide individuals and organizations operating in East Africa region solid tax and business solutions.
“Our doors are open to provide seamless tax and business solutions to all our clients regardless of location,” Mr Muema said.
