At 50, Jane celebrates attaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Moi University.

Her journey began over two decades ago when she got married. The mother of three reminisces about the early years of her marriage when she expressed her fervent desire for education to her husband. Instead of material possessions, Jane sought the opportunity to pursue academic excellence, and her husband wholeheartedly supported her aspirations. From acquiring her KCSE certificate to advancing through diploma, higher diploma, and bachelor’s degrees, Jane’s husband stood by her side, providing not just financial assistance but also emotional encouragement. She expresses profound gratitude also to her children who have been steadfast supporters throughout her educational journey.

Jane has explored various countries seeking new experiences and opportunities. Her travels took her to East Africa, including Uganda and Tanzania, and further afield to Nigeria, Dubai, the United Kingdom, and the United States where she currently resides in Washington State. However, Jane’s journey was not without its challenges. Moving to the United States in 2022 brought about adjustments and fresh demands, yet Jane remained resolute in her pursuit of knowledge. Despite time zone differences and the complexities of adapting to a foreign landscape, Jane’s determination never wavered.

With careful time management and the support of her family and friends, she navigated these obstacles with grace. Throughout her journey, Jane found inspiration and encouragement from her friend Caroline who motivated her to pursue her educational dreams. Jane acknowledges Caroline’s invaluable support and extends her appreciation for the encouragement received. As she reflects on her journey, Jane remains optimistic about the future, with aspirations of pursuing a Ph.D. Her message resounds clearly: no dream is too big, and with faith and determination, anything is possible.
