The Untold Story of Oil Billionaire Ann Njeri's 48-Hour Abduction
Businesswoman Ann Njeri Njoroge Poses for a Photo Outside the High Court in Mombasa

Oil magnate Ann Njeri Njoroge, the woman embroiled in the controversial Sh17 billion oil shipment, has today shared her harrowing experience after she visited the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters.

During a press briefing held outside the High Court on Tuesday, Njoroge disclosed her harrowing ordeal after they released her in a forest. The item which led to her problems – a 100,000 metric ton oil shipment – was confiscated by customs officials at the Mombasa coastal port, following the filing of permits at the Energy Petroleum and Regulatory Authority (EPRA). Consequently, she turned to Energy CS Davis Chirchir for aid when the situation became dire.

On Monday, Chirchir endorsed Njoroge’s assertions, stating that he advised her to report the incident to the DCI headquarters. Nevertheless, she soon found herself ensnared in a seemingly well-orchestrated kidnapping scheme. She was directed to record her statement in a nearby room, but upon entering she realized it descended into a basement.

The missing businesswoman pleaded with her captors to release her, but her pleas were met with indifference. She narrates that she kept pleading with her abductors to release her, but they dismissed her requests. Owing to the fear of losing her life, she began crying and begging them to spare her life.

After a while, an additional car reportedly pulled up, and Njoroge was subsequently transported elsewhere while blindfolded. She remained restrained within a chamber, her eyes only spared by the balaclava covering her face. Njoroge was aware of the presence of security personnel who were in full uniforms. Inside the four walls of her confinement was a mattress and a CCTV camera.

Njoroge’s conversation with her interviewer reveals that she feared for her life and believed it would be her last day. The subsequent morning, the captors entered her chamber and interrogated her intensely, even threatening to end her life had she not disclosed the details of the cargo. In line with these circumstances, her lawyer Cliff Ombeta asserts that the government must have conspired against the unsuspecting victim. He speculates that those in high power desired their cut of the Sh17 billion oil shipment.

Evidently the Energy CS chirchir set her up to the DCI so as to further silence her. Knowingly, the Galana Enterprise used as a scapegoat as one of the 3 companies which are government appointed to deal with oil importation through the newly government-to- government accounts so as to easy the dollar effects, they have huge balances of debt to clear on their respective accounts. Judy Biwott, her third party partner offering transaction service also has some questions to answer due to irregularities on this particular deal. Hence, all this dotted lines come up to the KPA bosses whom had to show the fake transacted docs though a little bit shaky.

William Ruto and the chairman seems a little bit shaky. Remember on Saturday, the God father Murkomen was in mombasa for tree planting exercise as well. Got the big picture?

This woman is a mule of people like Murathe, one of Uhuru’s handymen in siphoning public money away in the run up to last general elections. Also, his personal choice of successor, the people’s conman a.k.a “crazy man” by Uhunye himself prior, lost miserably.

  6. Wesonga, Kwa kusema ukweli…
Wesonga, Kwa kusema ukweli tulidanganywa to punish Uhuru. We have forgotten how Moi finished Matiba’s economic empire. Same to Kihika Kimani – Molo Timber empire. As at now our sister Njeri’s oil business is going down to knees the same way. Surely, siasa ni mbaya kweli kweli. Afadhali yule Mganga coz he doen’t mind our businesses.

  7. This near death harassment…
This near death harassment of Njeri is a huge wake up call to every kikuyu doing business in Kenya. Ruto wants to destroy the monied Kikuyus to make sure they all tie the line. I like Uhuru but I tend to think he was too soft on Ruto. He should have completely eliminated Ruto but it is never too late to do so.

  8. It appears that the thuggery…
It appears that the thuggery of the former regime has continued unabated in the current regime!!! It’s also a criminal regime that intimidates, tortures, harasses its citizens, the only thing missing at moment are dead bodies popping up in the rivers and thickets!!!

    Shameful

  9. Why and how did she import…
Why and how did she import the shs 17b oil without a permit or market?Did she declare the shs 17b in her possession while filing her 2022/2023 tax returns?Did the investigators probe whether the cash was from narcotic sales,COVID and EUROBOND loans or simply if she is a lucky MODERN GREEN,REKE MARIE,JEFF St,WANJIRU/SABINA JOY trader?

    • Those questions should posed…
Those questions should posed to the prosecutors, and if those prosecutors have concrete allegations, then they should put it in the court of law and prosecute the individual! No thuggery nonsense of strong men! We are and must be a country of laws and not of men!!!

  10. Who in their right mind…
Who in their right mind believes this cock and bull story? She’s no “billionaire” by any stretch of imagination, everything about her is fake. She’s a FRONT, for the real foreign owners of the cargo, which is also an obvious money laundering and sanitizing project. It happens all the time, drugs to textiles, oil, cosmetics whatever….But they failed to do their homework and forgot the import license bit. Government should impound and forfeit the cargo, but the bosses have other ideas, like stealing the stuff from her through their pals. Isn’t it interesting that her lawyer is one guy who’s the top choice for accused drug kings and wheeler dealers?

  11. Forgery and fabrication won…
Forgery and fabrication won’t fly. Try something else like wash wash. She’s a front for previous bourgeoisie

  12. stupid conmen within the…
stupid conmen within the Government, talking well and telling Kenyans that thy are doing their best to curtail embezzlement and corruption, when behind the scenes they are as corrupt as Hyenas. You know how to confisticate simple items from travelers via JKIA but you cannot be able to see tons and tons of corrupt importations through the seas into the Kenyan Market. Nonsense

  13. This is a killer government…
This is a killer government. There are more better ways to handle such an issue. But this government uses goons to settle and steal things. I think some PhDs are just useless pieces of paper. When this government sees money somewhere including in your pocket, it starts to salivate. Greed and corruption are its hallmarks. If you add pride, you complete the picture. They lied to the gullible and think less Christians that they were saved. Now, the Devil reigns. Can we put an end to this. Is there nothing that the people can do to free themselves from oppression by the very people they gave power? Kenyans wake up! Why would 50 million people allow themselves to be consigned to hunger, poverty, depression, economic ruin by a handful of thieves they elected into office? Comrades, take back your power.
