The Unites States Embassy in Nairobi has issued a terror alert advising American citizens in the country to exercise vigilance in high traffic locations frequented by foreigners.
The embassy, through a security advisory circulated on Thursday, urged its citizens in Nairobi and other areas within Kenya to review their personal security plans.
It noted that the Kenyan capital city remains a key target for terrorists who may be planning imminent attacks in the country.
“Terrorist groups could attack with little or no warning, targeting hotels, embassies, restaurants, malls and markets, schools, police stations, places of worship, and other places frequented by foreigners and tourists,” the alert read in part.
American nationals and other foreigners were asked to be mindful of their surroundings and keep an eye on local media for updates.
In addition, the American embassy said the government of Kenya has heightened its counterterrorism patrols in response to the increased threat of terrorism.

Just curios if the threat was to happen in Washington DC,what advise would the Kenyan embassy issue that would exclusively apply to Kenyans?
I guess what Iam saying is that shouldn’t the alert be issued to all people in Nairobi?Or should we assume that,that goes without saying? Anyway, my concern here is deeper…
From past and present history, it is safe to assume that the terrorists causing the threat are Muslims,and are carrying their evil plans of destruction in the name of their God.ALAH.Now you Muslims of good will,who claim that these terrorists have hijacked your religion,Islam;are you going out to protest? Anyway, I hope that at least you will somehow voice your displeasure.I appeal to you Muslims because,I think these muslim terrorists have a better chance of listening to their brethren and sistren,than to Kaffirs like Christian and Jews.
