Businesswoman Grita Muthoni Joins Race to Succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta

Businesswoman Muthoni Grita has joined the presidential race ahead of the August 9th elections.

Muthoni officially declared her State House bid during a media briefing in Nairobi on Sunday, saying she will contest on a Ford Asili party ticket. She becomes the first female presidential aspirant in this year’s elections.

If elected, the University of East London graduate pledged to create servant leadership to address the country’s problems, adding that she will focus on the youth, boosting the economy and restoring the rule of law.

“I Grita Muthoni, therefore offer to be your fifth president together, we improve lives and livelihoods, making Kenya a happy nation to our citizens and attractive to our visitors. In my government, we will be able to pay it because authentic leaders will serve you because we are servants,” Muthoni stated.

“We are going hungry right now, is it that the farmers became less that is the reason we have no food, No. I don’t even go far of this bid, we have youth, there is farming, there is road construction, we can even be exporting fertilizers,” she added.

Her administration, she says, will also seek to accelerate manufacturing, increase agricultural productivity, attract investments, improve education, develop talents, and provide equality and high-quality health care for all.

“I will restore dignity, social justice, and the rule of law where all government arms work in harmony for the common good of our citizens,” Muthoni added.

The mother of three urged voters to reject her competitors, who she says lack the country’s best interests at heart.

“I won’t say much because as I hear we have horses; we are waiting for leaders; leaders can join leaders and horses can join horses. The 2022 elections will be a choice between the future and the status quo which is pain, exploitation, self-reign and even slavery,” she noted.

“I aim to move Kenyans from human wrongs to human rights thus providing the dignity that everybody deserves. We need to embrace the spirit of nationhood.”

Muthoni previously served as the Chair and President of the Kenya Going Green Campaign, which aims to plant 50 million trees by the end of 2023. She was also a member of the Global Governing Council of the European Digital University Education USA in BlockChain Certification Application.

She has vast experience working for both profit and nonprofit organizations, including New Wine Church in the UK, Josephat Charity in London , and World Mothers and Children Organization in Gothenburg, Sweden.

@halisi – now I understand why you got deported from America. Your idiotic Ruto can do no wrong while he whines like a little putto dog chiwawa!

I give you credit for your blind faithfulness to a thieving kalenjin. And that is why Ruto will lose because he represents a low class of thieves and idiots! People who can’t lead themselves but expects to be entrusted with a whole country.

Next time you will tell us she is a melevi just like your Ruto insults Uhuru while there are no adults in your tribe to advise a mad man! Nonsense!

  3. At first, I thought this…
At first, I thought this lady is a family of one of the infamous NYS scandal culprits, Ngirita, only to later learn that those are 2 different names.
However, this is what I have always yearned for myself and selfu. An independent candidate bringing something different to the table of our 2 handpicked competitors. The duo have no vision for our country, other than political alliances based on favoritism and protection of dubiously acquired wealth…Go girl go…, and I hope every Kenyan wishes you all the best!

  4. All these folks who want to…
All these folks who want to be president now claiming of righting the human wrongs to human rights – where has she been when all the wrongs she is verbalizing were being committed?

  5. Wanjiru – you are going…
Wanjiru – you are going hungry because the Kenyan youth have refused to work on land. They have refused to do those jobs that are not blue color. All they do is get pregnant and drink alcohol from morning to sunset.

Please don’t blame others for the problems the youths are facing especially in getting jobs. Most of them are fornicating every where making babies and so so the factors of production are overwhelmed by a huge none working class of youth!

The current crop of youth want to get rich quickly without working for the wealth!

Can the she give us one ☝️ thing she’s done for the common Wanjiku?

    • @juju – does she have to do…
@juju – does she have to do anything (give lazy folks free things) prior to being president? What did you expect her to do in this society of every Joe snuffy expecting free stuff?

The problem Kenya is facing is having bure folks who expect everything to be handed to them for free while others like WSR steal everything.

So kenya has become a society of free loaders, loafers and thieves. People need to understand that nation building is not a simple task. They must all be prepared to work hard to build a life they want.

Does this woman look like a presidential material? You have never w gotten your small tea cup fame from your peers! Go do your job to build kenya. You don’t have to president to be productive.
