Kenyan gospel singer Jimmy Gait has traveled to India for specialized treatment a week after he divulged that he has been battling a strange condition.
Gait, who said he has been in and out of the hospital for the past three months, flew to India on Sunday where he is set to undergo surgery.
“For three months I have been inactive on social media prompting people to ask about my whereabouts, I have been to several hospitals seeking medication for undisclosed ailment hence my absence from the limelight,” said Gait.
The “Appointment” hitmaker said he will be in India for about three weeks for a throat operation. “I am expected to be there for 15 to 2o days. Pray for me as I go through treatment. Thanks for all your support…much love!”
Gait said he is worried for his music career because doctors advised him against singing until he is cured.
“I have never been to surgery. That [it will be] on my greatest asset makes me worry more. Let us not be negative,” he said.
“It is really difficult for me because singing is what I do for a living, and staying away from the studio sounds very boring.”

Ati Jimmy Gait? He sounds like Gīthīnji or Gathaiya or Gathogo. He should appreciate his roots while he sings for the white Jesus. But then again his mentality is enslaved. May Mwene Nyaga grant him the wisdom and get him feeling well physically and mentally.
