Police Search for Kenyan Twitter User who Posted Inciting Tweet about DP Ruto's 2022 Presidential Bid

Police are searching for a social media user who posted an inciting tweet about Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

In a post that has gone viral online, the user identified as Dennis Kiptoo says there will be ethnic clashes worse than the 2007/2008 post-poll chaos should a particular community fail to vote for Ruto in 2022.

Kiptoo says the community must “pay their debt” failure to which members of the ethnic group will be evicted from the Rift Valley region.

The National Police Service says it is working with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to ensure the suspect faces the consequences.

“Our attention has been drawn to some tweets supposedly issued by individual issuing threats to ignite inter-ethnic clashes akin to what occurred in 2007/8 in parts of the country,” police say in a tweet.

“Let it be known to all that we are taking these threats as a serious matter, and that we are working with the NCIC with a view to dealing with the persons involved in accordance with the law.”

Kiptoo’s reckless tweet has sparked outrage from Kenyan social media users who are demanding for his arrest.

“This is the most irresponsible utterance and must be condemned in the strongest terms possible,” former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo says in a tweet.

  1. Stop trying to stop Kikuyu…
Stop trying to stop Kikuyu and Kalenjin from killing each other.

They think the sun will stop rising if they kill each other.

The sun will not stop raising just because Riftvalley has become a mortuary.
Even Hutus and Tutsi killed each other and it did not stop the sun from shining.

2007-2008 PEV did not affect majority of tribes in Kenya.Am tired of these two tribes of fools.

I used to feel sorry for these people but not anymore.

  2. I thank God everyday for all…
I thank God everyday for all the slow and confused leaders from my tribe.

There slowness has turned out to be a blessing because we as tribe don’t owe anyone any debt.

Even the Chinese loans, we don’t owe anything. Those are owed by Jubilee people, thanks to marginalization.

We just see tribal clashes in the news.

    • And you do live in the…
And you do live in the clouds, if Kenya falls , you the “marginalized” falls down with it in fact you will feel it faster and worse than the jubilee tribe /people. Stupid comment

      • I always feel bad for…
I always feel bad for victims of Election violence.

Majority of those Jubilee tribes(like Kikuyu and Kalenjin) have a culture of killing people and stealing.

Even some tribes in Asia are cannibals.

This is not a knew phenom.

The behaviors come from the cultural beliefs and traditions like:
Kalenjin are cattle rustlers, therefore they have stealing and killing in their culture.

Kikuyu’s I don’t know their culture but they stealing and killing tendencies also has root in some of their cultural practices, am sure.

  3. Yes, it is going to be worse…
Yes, it is going to be worse than the 2007/2008 ethnic violence, he says. This particular community that is required to pay the “debt” will this time round not be caught off guard. They will be ready and armed. But who wins? Me, you, them? No one. Violence has never been known to solve anything.

    • Kikuyu and Kalenjin should…
Kikuyu and Kalenjin should either kill each other or Shut up.

They did not announce 2007-2008 PEV , so why are they announcing to us their intentions now?

We will post the pictures on social media.

      They should go ahead.

      Nonesense.

      • Right, and you and your…
Right, and you and your entire tribes ( non Kikuyu’s and Kalenjins) will be air lifted to Canaan where you will live in comfort in the clouds overlooking down at the carnage. The ripple effects will be felt by everyone BUT keep rejoicing how untouchable you will be – well but of course – you must be majuu in the comfort and wishing evil to yoru country. Wajinga ndio waliwao

        • The only ripple effect is…
The only ripple effect is the whole world thinks we come from the same tribe as THE ‘PEOPLE KILLING EACH OTHER’ in the rift-valley.

This is why it is important for the world to distinguish between us and Jubilee tribes(Kikuyu and Kalenjin).

When the 2007-2008 PEV happened people used to ask me, ‘whats going on in Kenya’.

I would tell them, am not from those areas.
Those people kill each other all the time. Its there thing.

          • The whole world does not…
The whole world does not give shit about you trust me the “other tribes” Here is a thought, move to UG or TZ or far off in Kalahari desert!

          • Thanks for the advice…
            Thanks for the advice.

Kikuyu and Kalenjin killing cultural festival in Rift-valley must be exposed for what it is.

A killing culture that is rooted in the History of these two tribes.

It is not random acts or Elections. Those are just opportunities.

The killing culture in these two tribes rooted in their history and beliefs.

It should be put among the horrible cultures in the world.Right below Cannibalism and right above FGM.

          • Just don’t type anything…
Just don’t type anything else Vicki/y. You sound foolishly foolish.

      • @Diana
        Kikuyu’s have bitter…

        @Diana

Kikuyu’s have bitter bitch syndrome and Kalenjin have entitlement syndrome.
Kikuyu and Kalenjin have a stealing and killing culture.its part of their tribal identity.

You see kalenjin have a history of cattle rustling.Cattle rustling involves killing and stealing livestock.Illegal occupation of other peoples land.

Kikuyu’s history originates from House of Mumbi.
A divorced woman who was left with 9 children-girls.

Am not sure of the complete Kikuyu history but it seems that Mumbi was a Bitter bish who gave her children severe psychological issues.

They feel they must kill and steal because that’s how they have been culturally trained to think.

These people have very Horrible cultures.

  4. mkristo (Ruto) wewe pamoja…
mkristo (Ruto) wewe pamoja na Uhuru mlituhakikishia ya kwamba nyote mi marais (co-presidents) kwenye serikali yenu ya mwungano. Naomba tafadhali uondoke wakati mwenzako naye atakuwa akiondoka ili tuanzishe kenya mpya.

  5. They also need to arrest the…
They also need to arrest the so called Kalenjin elder who initiated this classes shenanigans last week! How come he’s still living at large! Kenya ni ya Kila tribe and we must learn to coexist or face the music! No more blood sheds! We are all human beings with same fundamental values. Tribalism ishindwe!!

  6. So a single tweet from…
So a single tweet from anonymous individual has the police all excited. The government should be in a position to declare if this threat is serious or not in zero time.
This threat should be of no consequence at all any other country that has had over ten years to learn and prepare but we are a led by a shit hole PR and gimmicks leader.

Pombe kila saa. Stop being phoney and show some leadership.

  7. Diana, you are one hateful…
Diana, you are one hateful spirit! Did you just glorify the genocide in Rwanda? I think mwakilishi should bar you here and hand in your details to the authorities. You are worse than an inciter! @Vicky…you comments had me aghast with horror. Do you have a separate government in Kenya in the little tribes you describe? Akili kweli ni nywele, kila mtu ana zake!

    • @Sukari Listen here,we need…
@Sukari Listen here,we need to tell the world the truth.

The world cannot keep thinking this Rift-valley killing culture is a Kenyan thing.

It is a Kikuyu kalenjin cultural event.

Its their culture. Some tribes practice FGM. Not all tribes.

Killing and stealing is not part of our cultures. Not all tribes kill each other and not all tribes practice FGM.Not all tribes practice polygamy.

We need to tell the world the truth.

  8. Not all tribes sleep with…
Not all tribes sleep with their dead husbands brothers, not all tribes carry all their utensils from Nairobi to Kisumu when vacationing…but I am educated enough to know this is the stereotype and the majority of my friends from the so called “small tribes” are more informed and perhaps better in many ways than I am. I have said this to you before and I will say it again. I belong to one of those tribes that you so detest and I am neither a thief, liar or mutilated in my brain nor in the nether regions! Stop generalising!!

  9. Dear Vicky Diana. While you…
Dear Vicky Diana. While you have my attention, why don’t you tell us where your culture is from, so we may perhaps borrow a leaf from it? From what you insinuate, It seems that yours doesn’t suffer from the kind of depravity and wickedness like the one you direct at the two tribes you abhor and detest, and which you derive great satisfaction in vilifying; kindly share your ethical, morally upright, culturally advanced micro-nation, so perhaps we may learn a thing or two about yours.
