Quack doctor James Mugo Ndichu alias Mugo wa Wairimu has been charged afresh with operating an illegal clinic.
Appearing before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku on Tuesday, Mugo was charged alongside his two employees Victor Gathiru and Risper Ouma.
The three have denied the charges even as the court allowed the prosecution to merge the two cases.
They are accused of running a pharmacy without a registration certificate from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board as well as operating an unlicensed clinic, Millan Health International Limited in Kayole, Nairobi.
They have also been charged with running a medical laboratory without a permit from the Kenya Medical Laboratory and Technologists Board.
The court has ordered that Mugo be detained pending hearing on February 7th, 2019, but his co-accused have been released on earlier bail terms of Sh200,000 each.
Mugo was arrested by flying squad officers in Gachie area, Kiambu County on November 13th after evading arrest for several weeks by continuously swapping SIM cards.
