Tanzania bongo flavor superstar Diamond Platnumz has announced he will tie the knot to his new Kenyan girlfriend Tanasha Donna Oketch in February, 2019.
Speaking during an interview with Wasafi TV, the singer says he will exchange vows with Tanasha on February 14th.
“I have set February 14, 2019 as my wedding date. The ceremony will last four days. Valentine’s Day will fall on a Thursday; so, the wedding ceremony will take place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That is my preliminary arrangement. If anything would come up, forcing me to change the dates, I will communicate that in good time,” says Platnumz.
The award-winning musician says he is marrying the Kenyan beauty to help him manage his business empire.
“I really want to settle down. I have had enough fun. Honestly, I have done a lot!”
“I have invested in so many business ventures. I own TV and radio stations; I also have a vibrant digital platform; I also own a groundnuts business – Diamond karanga, and a record label WCB. I need a woman who will help me run the businesses. I won’t be able to manage the projects on my own. I need a wife to offer advice, and help me steer the businesses to success so that we can secure our future,” he notes.
In an interview with Tanzania’s Ijumaa Newspaper last week, the “Sikomi” hit maker said Tanasha is the best of all women he has previously dated.
“Tanasha Oketch is the only woman who has shown me that she takes seriously my desire to have a wife. And, as a result of her commitment, I hereby say – officially – that she is the one I will marry,” he said.
“Tanasha Oketch has all the qualities that I am looking for in a wife.”
Ms Oketch, 22, is a radio presenter at NRG and previously dated Kenyan actor Nick Mutuma before separating last year.
