Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested four more suspects believed to be part of a racket that defrauded several Kenyan Saccos of millions of shillings.

The arrest of the four comes after officers from the Serious Crimes Unit arrested nine other suspects in connection with theft of more than Sh70 million from the Saccos.

The four identified as Leonard Nganga, Stephen Mathenge, Hiram Kiragu and Alex Mutuku allegedly infiltrated the Saccos’ IT systems to steal the cash.

The DCI says the four will be arraigned in court once investigations into their criminal activities are concluded.
