The government has deported 60 foreigners pretending to be married to Kenyans in order to prolong their illegal stay in the country, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i says.
Speaking on Friday, Matiang’i also announced 28 immigration officials had been fired for issuing Kenyan passports to illegal immigrants.
“… drug dealers have come to Nairobi and confused our girls… marriage must be proved by law. This nonsense has to come to an end.”
The Cabinet Secretary said majority of illegal immigrants in the country are hiding in hotels as they engage in drugs selling.
“They have been pretending that they have papers and we are going to continue to deport more. These people are hiding in restaurants here in Kenya,” he said.
“Please when you meet this people arrest them immediately. Let them go! We must clean up our country off this nonsense,” he said.
Speaking when he addressed regional security heads, Matiang’i vowed to flush out all illegal foreigners in the next few months.
“They are misusing our children… you must have a certificate. If your marriage is less than three years you must have a work permit. This wakoras saying they are married… they are just cohabiting with our girls. They use our girls as mules who carry drugs.”

After you are done, go after those others who have built their malls on riparian land. One of them was trying to bribe Sonko the other day and was arrested but today he is a free man again. Another one illegally built a freaking dam at a higher altitude knowing well human beings had built their homes downhill. The poorly constructed dam gave way killing 43+ innocent Kenyans. This particular thug in my opinion should be locked up and keys thrown to the sea never to see his motherland again.
