IEBC: Thursday's Election to Proceed as Planned

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) says Thursday’s repeat presidential election will go on as scheduled.

Speaking during a media briefing at the National Tallying Centre Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati said that based on the assurance of support from different stakeholders, the election will proceed as earlier planned.

“Elections will go on tomorrow as scheduled, polling stations to be opened by 6 a.m, please come out and vote for your preferred Presidential candidate,” Mr Chebukati said.

“The President has assured all Kenyans security during this election period,” he added.

Chebukati further said that the commission would consider postponing the elections in areas where it finds problems conducting the poll. “Where we encounter hitches, we will apply elections regulations which include suspension of the process.”

He further condemned police brutality on opposition National Super Alliance anti-IEBC protesters saying that they have a constitutional right to demonstrate and urged police to exercise restrain in countering the protesters.

Earlier today, a petition filed by three voters at the Supreme Court seeking to postpone the repeat election failed to proceed due to lack of quorum.

  1. Chebukati, you will turn out…
Chebukati, you will turn out to be Kenya’s hero failing to quit. You have saved Kenya. It is a high time you completely disconnect yourself from the evil of NASA and seek progress for Kenya. Akombe, Komba Kombe was duped by Orengo and Raila and now she is a completely damaged merchandise. Chebukati, you have given Kenyans peace. All on board, the train is leaving station. There is no Canaan.

Those boycotting can stay home and wait for 2022…iko karibu sana.

  3. Good. But as Jubilee…
Good. But as Jubilee Supporters “are all over CELEBRATING on Social Media & thanking God for it saying ‘Mungu amewatendea’, Judge Njoki Ndungu is NOT in Mombasa as alleged. In fact she is HIDING at the Jubilee party headquarters in Pangani together with judge Jacktone Ojwang.
Smoking wanjala was forced NOT to leave his house this morning. In plain English he is under HOUSE ARREST.
Deputy chief justice Philomena Mwilu cheated death yesterday. She could have been on the cold floors of Lee Funeral home.
Today’s LACK of QUORUM at the Supreme Court is not by accident. It was PLANNED Well Ahead of Time. But wait until NASA Petitions tomorrow’s shambolic PR exercise in the name of Election before the same court. Just like the previous one, they will NULIFY it.”

Guest 1 somewhere along the way Maraga forgot he needed his other collegues to get the coup going. I can only thank the others for not showing up and I could care less where Njoki, Ojwang and the rest are. Mwilu probably is with Wako who does not support RAOs idea anymore. You see, the coup did not succeed but thankyou thank you NASA for showing Kenya where the loop holes are in the Constitution. Shedding light on Judiciary and how much it is in bed with NASA. UhuruRuto have a lot of work to do. Building the economy only is not enough. Judiciary, hiring of IEBC commissioners and unlawful demonstrations damaging peoples properties are issues they have to deal with. NO MORE of the nonsense. Enough is ENOUGH.

Last time I checked, each demonstrating goon was paid shs.200.00 but now the lord of poverty’s kitty has dried up and therefore no more payments are forthcoming to the goons.
