President Uhuru Kenyatta has defended himself on the rant on Chief Justice David Maraga and the Supreme Court after the annulment of his August 8th election victory.
In a bid to downplay the narrative by opposition leader Raila Odinga that his criticism of Chief Justice David Maraga was an attack on his community, the Head of State said he is human and his rant on the CJ was a result of anger on his ‘snatched victory’.
Speaking when meeting a delegation of more than 15,000 members of the Abagusii community at State House in Nakuru, Uhuru assured that he has nothing against the community.
The President confessed that verdict by the four Supreme Court judges to nullify his presidential election win was the most painful moment of his life.
“It was painful for me to accept the decision. I’m a human being and I was angry at Maraga and the Supreme Court, not the Abagusii community as my political competitor would want you to believe,” said the President, who maintained that he accepted the court’s decision but would never agree with the judges.
“Had I not come out and attacked the Supreme Court ruling and defended my win; had I kept quiet, people would have thought I was part of the alleged rigging of the elections,” he said.
“Just imagine a thief is caught with your cow and then the court rules that the police did not record the crime – so the cow cannot be yours,” he added.
“I know I won the election. It was painful when the court nullified my win. But I am ready for the re-run and I want you people to vote for me,” said the President.
He took a swipe at Nasa leader Raila Odinga for what he termed as “trying to drive a wedge between me and the community by claiming my attack against the Supreme Court was a direct affront on Justice Maraga because he comes from the Abagusii community”.
“Our competitors went all the way to Kisii and Nyamira counties to sell their tribal agenda to you that I was against Mr Maraga because he is Kisii. No! That is not the truth. He (Raila) thrives on ethnic politics. Let me be honest with you, I have no problem with the Abagusii people but I have an issue with Maraga’s ruling,” he said.
Mkora Uhuru:…
Mkora Uhuru:
You should retire from politics now. You and Mkora Ruto took advantage of those brave Kenyans who were arrested and others killed by Toroitich as they saved our country from his dictatorship.
Mkora Uhuru, you were so selfish enough at Kasarani when you refused to recognise and respect the late Saitoti as the person who should have been the legitimate presidential candidate since he had been Toroitich’s vice president for more than 13 years.
Mkora Uhuru, please step down and retire from politics. Why? Had everybody sang ” Tawala Kenya tawala ” the way you and Mkora Ruto did, dictator Toroitich would still be in our state house and you would still be singing the dictator’s song ” Tawala …”
Ask your brother Mkora Raila also to retire from politics. You two should return back to civilian life. But before you do that, return the land that your father stole and the money that Mkora Waiguru embezzled from our treasury.
@Imara, with all these…
@Imara, with all these bitter rants here, I think you should go and run for office in Kenya and make the changes you want to see. The time you waste here regurgitating the same dialogue for every post , can best be used by initiating tangible changes on the ground , don’t you think? Uhuru and Raila are not reading Mwakilishi. You are like those useless KOT who hide behind their characters with no real change. Enda ukasaidie watu wenu , I know I do . That is my challenge to you !
Mr. Uhuru NO body snatched…
Mr. Uhuru NO body snatched any victory from you. As a matter of FACT you and your operatives snatched the presidential victory from one RAO in 2007, 2012 and 2017. The only difference in 2017 election is UKWELI UMESIMAMA IMARA NA TUMECHOKA. LIWELIWALO

Thank you for your suggestions. I would like you to know that I meet young Kenyans of Toroitich era who have no idea about the Kenyan history. My writings are directed to the many misinformed young Kenyan citizens who grew up during the Nyayo House days of torture and murders. They don’t realize that Uhuru was groomed to take over Kenyans leadership not because he was fit or he was the right candidate, but Toroitich put him there to protect what his father and Toroitich stole while in our state house.
Knowledge is power. Finally, I would like you to know that, Ayatollah Rohollah Khomeini changed Iran while he was in exile in France.
@Imara, I have to agree with…
@Imara, I have to agree with formerlyguest2 on this. You do go on a bit with the same, Toroitich this & that. The point you try to make is lost among the rants, coz’ all I get is the anger which more often leans against the Kikuyus. Just saying. Now, don’t come for me like you did last time – that only takes the shine off your arguments.

@ Sukari:
I welcome criticisms and challenges to my posts. I am not comfortable with Uhuru and Ruto as opportunists. I have praised the leadership of Mwai Kibaki as the best president that our nation has ever had since independence.
I am not comfortable with the role Toroitich has played in our nation and continues to do. Our heroes of the first and second liberators of our country have been left out in the cold. I take the same path that Martin Ngatia takes in his ” You tube” videos he presents to the people of Kenya. He repeats the same message over and over again and has a wide audience all over the world. I’m also extremely uncomfortable with Toroitich presenting to us an alcoholic as the president of Kenya so that he can continue to direct his shallow and distorted view of the future of Kenya.
