NASA Once Again Threatens to Boycott August Elections

The National Super Alliance (NASA) has once again threatened to boycott the August 8th general elections.

Speaking on Friday at a press briefing with journalists, NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka said that they have new evidence that Jubilee wants to rig the forthcoming elections.

“We have received information and concrete evidence of an audacious plan how the Jubilee administration and top military commanders have put in place to use force and subvert next month elections with a rigged outcome. The plan is to hand over power to President Uhuru Kenyatta by completely illicit and unconstitutional means,” said Kalonzo.

“The plans include cutting off power and water, and the militarily isolating settlements such as Mathare and Kibera on election day possibly on the pretext of containing the spread of cholera,” Kalonzo added.

“Two hundred and twenty-six new soldiers are being trained at the Mariakani barracks to be deployed on this mission which is how to cut off power and water in the Kibera and Mathare slums and keep people out of the city center,” he said.

“They are planning to transport ballot papers to rural areas and register telephone lines in the names of dead soldiers,” he added.

The NASA leaders said they will share the information with local and international poll observers, members of the diplomatic corp based in Nairobi and the media.

  5. I echo those who have…
I echo those who have commented that this evil madman has totally lost it. Even if his nonsensical propaganda were true, what difference would 42 police officers and now another 226 military officers would make to affect votes of 13 million electorates? Perhaps TV and print media should stop treating such divisive and dangerous garbage as news worthy reporting. If Raila and his “yes sir” lieutenant want to boycott elections, that’s their prerogative. But they must not drag our military and police forces in their smelly sewer gutter.

  6. I Do not belief they are men…
I Do not belief they are men enough to boycott the election. If they chose to do so they should as long as they do not interfere with the election process. Every person has a constitutional right as long as it does not interfere with another persons right.
