A Nairobi preacher has threatened to mobilize other City preachers to sue National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga over his remarks asking his supporters not to have sex on the eve of August 8th General Election.
Pastor Godfrey Migwi, who heads the Hope Church Ministry, argued that sex was a conjugal right and therefore, the former Prime Minister has no power to order women to deny their husbands what is “duly theirs.”
“The Bible is clear on conjugal rights, thus I’m mobilizing my fellow preachers so that we can plan on how to sue NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga for the remarks,” he stated.
The man of God said that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader was mocking God by speaking in contrary of what the Bible states about sex among the married. He said that Odinga’s calls could break marriages.
“As a preacher, I’ve handled several cases where spouses part when one party denied another his or her sex rights thus he and any other leader ought not to be taken seriously at all,” Migwi stated.
On Monday, the NASA presidential flag bearer asked his supporters to refrain from sexual intercourse on the eve of elections. Odinga likened the election to a war, saying that it was bad omen to engage in sex before going to war.
“We are going into a war and we must fully conserve our energies before the day of battle, which is August 8,”
“None of us should have sex on the eve of the polls,” he stated.

Come on pastor, one day is not going to ruin a marriage,unless there are other factors involved.Raila is just telling his supporter to defer sex of a day or two. Sure you can live with that pastor.I think this man of the cloth just wants to get some media attention.And he has gotten it.
My only question is why” Raila seem to be “preoccupied” with sex.I believe that this is not the first time he has ordered his followers to abstain from sex until a certain act is fulfilled.Why not tell them to abstain from eating fish for aweek?
