Uasin Gishu County Jubilee senatorial candidate Professor Margaret Kamar has cleared the air on her relationship with the late former powerful minister during Kanu era, Nicholas Biwott.
The former university don on Wednesday introduced Biwott’s family, including herself and her two co-wives Hannie and Kalista. Kamar termed Hannie as the matriarch of Biwott’s family and lauded her for “taking care of mzee during his younger age”.
“I think we have put this to rest,” she said during Biwott’s requiem Mass in Toot Village in Elgeyo-Marakwet County. “You’ve known nothing but the whole truth.”
While she named Biwott on her CV and online pages as her husband, she never appeared in public with the Total Man.
Throughout the requiem mass of the late Biwott at AIC Milimani on Tuesday, there was no mention of her, although she was seated on the family section. Surprisingly, when Biwott’s cousin called on members of the Biwott family to step forward for introduction, Kamar remained seated and was not given a chance to address mourners.
On Wednesday, Biwott’s three wives came in public and went to hold each others’ hands as they introduced their children.
