A woman accused of spiking a reveler’s drink at Avery Lounge in Nairobi before robbing him has finally been arrested.
Florence Mwihaki, also known as Philys Karuiru or Mama George, was arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Wednesday.
“Thank you Avery Lounge family and the public at large for providing valuable information leading to her apprehension. The Avery Lounge is a crime-free zone,” Avery Lounge said in a statement.
Her arrest comes two weeks after Avery Lounge published the image of the suspect on its Facebook page, urging members of the public to volunteer information that may lead to her arrest.
The nightclub located in Utawala said the suspect emptied their client’s Mpesa and bank accounts, besides stealing his 65-inch television set and a fridge after drugging him.
“Avery Lounge has registered a police complaint on behalf of one of our clients, against this evildoer. She drugged (mchele) the client and stole the following items: 1. TV 65″ 2. Mpesa 130,000 3. 50,000 from Equity eazzy banking 4. Fridge,” Avery Lounge captioned a photo of the woman holding the victim.
The man is alleged to have met the woman at the entertainment joint and they enjoyed drinks before going to his house, where the suspect executed her mission.
