Nairobi Hotel Charging Sh1 Million to Watch Royal Wedding Between Britain's Prince Harry and American Actress Megan Markle

A top hotel in Nairobi is reportedly charging Sh1 million per couple to watch the upcoming historic Royal wedding between Britain’s Prince Harry and American actress Megan Markle on television.

Nairobi’s Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club has acquired exclusive rights to broadcast the
Royal wedding, which will be held at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom on May 19th.

Posters by the hotel, which went viral on the social media, stated that there will be a “champagne toast and live commentary throughout the ceremony to make this day what can only be described as a True Royal Wedding experience”.

The Sh1 million package also includes a night for two at the hotel and a chopper ride to Mt Kenya for a breakfast. Daily Nation reports that marketers of the event said the high price is meant to make the event exclusive. They are targeting at least 20 couples.

Reports indicate that only 1,200 members of the public will be granted entry into the Windsor Castle grounds to witness the Royal wedding.
