How Maina Njenga's Mother-in-Law Caused Chaos in Court
A Court Clerk Assists Hannah Njoki, the First Prosecution Witness in Maina Njenga's Trial

The courtroom was chaotic on Monday when Hannah Njoki took her place on the witness stand to testify against her son-in-law, Maina Njenga, the former leader of Mungiki.

The elderly woman, summoned by the prosecution, made her way to the witness stand with a resolute stride. A Bible, tendered by a court assistant, awaited her solemn oath. Ms Njoki, fluent in the Kikuyu language, was expected to provide her testimony concerning Mr Njenga’s alleged affiliation with a prohibited gang. Positioned on the courtroom’s left side, she faced her son-in-law and his seven co-defendants. Every eye and camera focused on Ms Njoki, but as she reached for the Bible, a sudden tremor seized her, leaving her gasping for air.

She expressed worry and disclosed having felt weak. The court officials quickly rushed to her aid, propping her up on a cushioned bench. The disturbance led Principal Magistrate Kipkurui Kibelion to pause the proceedings for a quarter of an hour, granting the elderly lady time to receive help. Accompanied by court personnel, Ms Njoki was guided out of the courtroom, leaving everyone in disbelief. According to reports, she regained consciousness after receiving initial medical assistance from the court attendants.

Ms Njoki divulged to the police that she had neglected to take her prescribed medication for a medical condition and had also skipped a meal that day. State Counsel Wycliff Omwenga further informed the court that Ms Njoki, a crucial witness in the case, had experienced difficulty breathing due to congestion in the courtroom and had suffered from a sudden panic attack while testifying. Mr Omwenga assured the court that Ms Njoki had fully recovered and would provide her testimony at a later date. This decision was made after the court rejected Mr Njenga’s plea to have the case dismissed based on legal irregularities.

Drama Drama Drama, she was terrified of the beheadings killing criminal thief son-in-law!!!

    • I think she was terrified to…
I think she was terrified to hold the Bible and lie. She did not want God to strike her the same way He did when He struck Ananias, and his wife for lying.

  2. Raila’s “security affairs…
Raila’s “security affairs minister” or head of MURDER BEREAU,Maina should be hanged to the nearest tree. Both Maina and his murderous boss,Raila have one hobby-killing AGikuyu.Peace loving AGikuyu are advised to carry loaded legal gun whenever they are visiting Nairobi city for self security.Murderer Owino Raila’s other “security minister”is on the loose hunting for his(Raila) next meal.

  3. Hollywood has some good…
Hollywood has some good actors and actresses but that industry has nothing like Kenya’s artists. Our country is full of very talented actors such as scammers who will sell you non-existent land, a presidential candidate who acted his way into State House by hoodwinking people that he is a devout Christian, a layman who acted as a lawyer and won numerous cases in court, those beautiful ladies of the twilight who hang out in bars and act as very loving and caring mamas when you are buying them drinks only for them to spike your drink then you wake up a day later and find out the actress wiped out your Mpesa account, and of course the little kids who act as if they are lost and ask your help only for you to realize it was a set up for an armed robbery. Paramount and Universal studios both need to set up shop in Kenya, they will not be disappointed with our pool of natural-born actors.

  4. Waruinge seems to have…
Waruinge seems to have changed but Maina still a diehard exterminator waiting for opportunity like now when handshake bros are out of power and need militia

  5. I’m sure she didn’t…
I’m sure she didn’t voluntarily accept to be a prosecution witness. Anybody would faint at the thought of testifying against a dude who commands several thousand machete wielding killers spread throughout the country. I would!
