Kenya Airways has dismissed allegations that a pilot flew their planes for eight years without the necessary license.

This comes after social media and online blogs made various claims stating that one of its pilots was not qualified. Kenya Airways denies these allegations and emphasises its commitment to maintaining excellent pilot training, astute background checks, and elaborate security protocols. Kenya Airways says that its applicants go through strict scrutiny, comprehensively sifting through any training documentation prior to onboarding. Ultimately, regulatory controls such as Kenya Civil Aviation Authority audits and annual license renewal ensure that all regulations remain tightly in check.

After the publicizing of the allegations of personification of Brian Mwenda, a section of Netizens are standing up for him claiming that similar events have taken place in other professions with presumed knowledgeable people. As debates involving impersonators worsen, the Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Ingonga has ordered Inspector General of Police, Japhet Koome to investigate the allegations of impersonation against Brian Mwenda. On Saturday, Ingonga declared that there has been an escalation in cases that involve inept individuals who pretend to be Advocates of the High Court of Kenya.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has stated that they are investigating a potential case of identity theft involving Brian Mwenda Ntwiga, among others. If criminal responsibility is proven, the DPP may pursue prosecution. Ingonga, an independent reviewer, will carefully examine the evidence provided in the inquiry file. In doing so, he will adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Constitution, relevant laws, and the ODPP Decision to Charge Guidelines, 2019. Based on this examination, appropriate actions will be determined.

“According to Atwoli, if it is indeed true that Njagi has been practicing law and effectively representing clients in legal matters, his knowledge, skills, and abilities in the field should not be disregarded. The trade unionist emphasizes that Kenya is home to a plethora of highly skilled and talented young individuals who have acquired their expertise through practical experience, self-study, and non-traditional educational avenues.”
Folks, that is Atwoli’s response on charges leveled at the fake lawyer,Bryan Mwendwa. So with these kind of reasoning, the fake pilot if true, his skills should be admired, and praised for flying incident free for years, despite having no flying credential. What a shame.Yes according to Atwoli,it’s ok to break the law so long as no harm results from your action.
