Kalonzo Formally Withdraws from Presidential Race After Rejoining Azimio

A day after he announced his return to the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has formally withdrawn from the August 9th presidential race.

Wiper Democratic Movement Party on Friday said that Musyoka, who was scheduled to present his documents to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on June 4th, will no longer be doing so.

“We write to inform you that STEPHEN KALONZO MUSYOKA of ID number 8932417 has withdrawn his candidature as the Wiper Democratic Movement Presidential nominee. By the strength of this letter, we notify your office that he will not be presenting his presidential nomination papers at 2 pm on the 4th June 2022 as earlier scheduled,” Wiper Chairperson Agatha Solitei said in a letter to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati.

On Thursday, Musyoka declared his support for the Azimio La Umoja–One Kenya Coalition presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua.

Musyoka, who quit the coalition two weeks ago after missing out on the running mate slot, said he made the decision after extensive consultations with Wiper party officials, religious leaders, and professionals.

“As a people, our true measure lies in our ability to discern when the nation is bigger than an individual. Therefore, after deep introspection, I have today deferred my dreams to run for the president of the Republic of Kenya in the forthcoming general elections,” Musyoka said.

He also announced that he has accepted the Chief Minister position offered to him by Odinga while unveiling his running mate on May 16th.

“I have decided to accept with humility and appreciation my nomination as Chief Minister in the Azimio-One Kenya coalition. It’s not if we will win, but when we form the next government. I commit myself to the Azimio one Kenya campaign because our objective is winning,” Musyoka added.

The Kamba Nation is crisis. I don’t know what’s wrong with Kamba men. They all seem very indecisive

  2. Kalonzo had finally…
Kalonzo had finally bargained enough. See he left last week to an overseas trip. One cannot bank do much money in Kenya without anyone coming out for an expose. Question is how much was Kalonzo bought for? Kalonzo became a little smarter a little while ago and he knew so well whatever is written on paper with Raila’s Azimia is a bunch of nonsense. That no one will ever honor it.

Breaking News!!!. It has been announced from the head office of Wiper party that Kalonzo Musyoka is joining Kenya Kwanza party NOT Azimio party as errounously reported earlier. It has also been reported that Kalonzo Musyoka has accepted the position of 2nd Deputy President(unelected). In addition to being Deputy President in Ruto’s government he has also accepted the Cabinebt position of treasurer and Attorney General. Kalonzo Musyoka claimed he cannot trust Raila because of his past failed promises. He urged his fellow Kamba supporters to turn out in big numbers in support of Ruto

    Mr Kalonzo,

A man who has no stand of his own is a dangerous man. A man who is moved by the wind is a dangerous man.
You were the vice president, now we know not because of your God given wisdom but because you are an opportunist. It’s all about you and what you can get for yourself. Everything you have done is not about our country but you have done it in self- interest.
We are living in very interesting times where all ( Everything that has been done in the dark) is being revealed.
We are watching as light shines against the forces of darkness.
You have accepted a position that does not yet exist.
Remember last time you were seeking power with Raila, you told Gikuyu’s when you get to power ” walale kama Bahasa”.- This time while seeking that vice president position, you said you are also a Gikuyu”.
    What time is it?
Time for separation, revelation and restoration!!
We are only a few days to the elections.
Let wait and watch as your drama unfolds
