Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka is in Dubai to attend the 2021 Voice Achievers Awards ceremony where he will be among the awardees.
Musyoka, who arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday, was nominated for the Icon of Democracy Award for his relentless efforts in working for peace in South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Somalia, and his role in the formation of the grand coalition government in Kenya in 2008.
Jimmy Nicks, the representative of the Voice News Magazine in Kenya, presented Musyoka with the nomination letter last month. Nicks said the publication had tracked Musyoka’s peace efforts for a long time hence the decision to award him.
“Presently sir, you serve as Special Kenyan government Envoy to the Republic of South Sudan, helping to uphold the very fragile democracy in that country, a huge task you have taken on with a joyful heart, in service to humanity. The voice news Africa magazine has tracked your record and taken notice of your iconic democratic contribution to the continent of Africa,” he said.
Other Kenyans who will be awarded during the ceremony are Media personality Patience Nyange and Dr. Maxwell Okoth, the proprietor of RFH Healthcare.
Nyange will be awarded African Community Figure Award while Okoth will receive the Africa motivational Award.
The gala dinner to be hosted at the Intercontinental Festival City Hotel in Dubai will bring in world business leaders from Holland, the US, Britain, and South Africa among others for networking and business opportunities.
The Voice Magazine is a publication based in the Netherlands that focuses not only on rewarding successful businesses but also those which had a positive impact on their communities and the country or region they operate in.
Kalonzo is able to negotiate…
Kalonzo is able to negotiate peace in Sudan but not anywhere in Kenya
He can’t negotiate peace in Lakipia and other places.
How is he an icon?
This individual has no…
This individual has no principles..
worst of worst to Trust.
The problem here is those…
The problem here is those who issue awards without doing proper research to understand the history of the awardee!
How come kalonzo is so busy negotiating peace in South Sudan instead of sitting DP Ruto down to negotiate peace for the Ruto initiated crashes in Laikipia and Uwasin Gishu?
Does kalonzo really deserve such an award? Charity always begins at home; right?
Most useless person on…
Most useless person on earth.
WORKED FOR MOI
WORKED FOR KIBAKI
WORKED FOR RAILA
ALL CAN JUDGE THIS INDIVIDUAL IS A SCUM LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO BE RELEVANT AND WIN MATERIAL
He deserves the award…
He deserves the award. Laikipia and Uasin Gishu are clashes caused by local politicians. The politicians are the root cause of the carnage. So it is up to those politicians to stop inciting their communities. I don’t expect Kalonzo to solve all the problems arising in his country. The politicians causing the clashes will go after him if tries to intervene. Those kind of politicians don’t deserve to lead anybody.
