US Backs Kenya's DCI George Kinoti to Nail Big Fish in Graft Purge

The United States has urged Kenya’s Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti to go after big fish accused of engaging in corruption.

Ambassador Kyle McCarter has assured Kinoti of US’s 100 percent support in his efforts in the war against graft.

The American envoy has called on Kinoti to take the war on graft a notch higher by nailing senior government officials implicated in corruption scandals.

McCarter assured Kenya of the US support in the fight against corruption following meetings with Kinoti and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji on Thursday.

“Let’s pray that the DCI can catch the big fish and make an example of how thievery will not be tolerated in Kenya. USA is backing you 100%,” McCarter states.

Since Kinoti’s appointment last year, several graft suspects including Governors and heads of State agencies have been arrested and charged.

Unlike his predecessor Ndegwa Muhoro, Kinoti has been hailed for taking criminals head-on.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has become one of the most active departments under Kinoti’s leadership.

  1. We need to reduce corruption…
We need to reduce corruption dynaoursors lizards. Then we can step on them.

  2. ni kama baba naongelesha…
ni kama baba naongelesha mtoto yake, it is good but ideally we should handle this stuff by ourselves, these people dont care about the well being of ordinary kenyans, only kenyans will be able to fix kenya. Kinoti might mean it but all it takes is a phone call from stale house saying go easy on so and so and that will be the end of that

  3. This should have been done…
This should have been done yesterday. The so called big fish are getting away with murder, literally. Something need to be done immediately. Corruption is infectious in Kenya.

  4. Imagine——After Moi was…
Imagine——After Moi was appointed VP in 1967, he moved into the VP’S OFFICIAL RESIDENCE at Kabarnet Gardens in Nairobi. He never moved out even after he had retired as president in 2002. He had grabbed it. Kenyans spent Shs 500M to build another house for the VP.

  5. Our biggest mistake is…
Our biggest mistake is relaying on others to do our own job. Why should US help us deal with our own local thieves and robbers? How many times have you seen our own Moab justice at work? If our judicial system fails to stop our corrupt leaders, elites, lawyers and judges from continued thiefery of our hard earned public funds, we’ll have no alternative but to engage people’s- Moab justice to save ourselves and our children. Look at what the US ambassador says we ought to do; “let us pray that the DCI can catch the big fish—-“. This guy is out of his minds- pray! In US, they don’t pray that their judicial system may catch criminals. They go after them full throttle with subpoenas, arrest warrants and FBI, and CIA and swart teams with big guns. This sissy proposal by the US ambassador to our DCI is a weak attempt to pacify Kenyans make us believe that when it comes to corruption, US is our friend and is working with us while the bitter truth, the hard cold fact is that US and the west are the engine that drives corruption all over Africa and the Latin America. Kenyans you better wake up because no one will rescue you from your misery but yourselves and your God.

  6. Pray?? We have been praying…
Pray?? We have been praying since before independence. Praying for the west to stop stealing our resources but nothing has happened.
Pray?? The last time we were told by the missionaries to close our eyes and pray, our resources, land, wealth, names, culture, freedom and everything else that the creator (God) gave us was stolen by the people who were asking us to pray. Mr. Ambassador, praying with your people and your god ( White Jesus) has never worked for us but somehow it has always worked for you.
Yes we will pray, to the most high to help us leave your wickend ways and follow our righteous path.
Pray?? To spread Christianity, your people came with the bible on one hand and a gun on the other. One to ask us to close our eyes and pray ( the missionary) while the other (colonizer) stole our land, maimed, raped, sodomized, hanged and killed those who did not comply.
It is time for the black man to leave the organized religion and enforce the commandments in Kenya and the whole of Africa. That is the solution to our corruption problem!!

    • Confused fellow. If you read…
Confused fellow. If you read history you will know that almost every race on earth was colonised one time or another throughout the ages. This is no excuse as a people to rag behind everyone else and even feel proud of it.

      • @njai, if we need a white…
@njai, if we need a white man to help us deal with our local thieves and we’re unable to do anything for ourselves, are we not as good as colonized? And if our leaders can steal from the public with impunity, are we not going to rag behind?

  7. Hehehehe americans the…
