Miguna Miguna has reacted after a section of Kenyans on social media claimed that he had been spotted in Nairobi.
This comes after a video of a man with a striking resemblance to the self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general went viral online, raising questions whether he might have returned to the country following his dramatic ‘deportation’ last month.
The footage, captured along a busy street in the city, shows a man with a cap similar to Miguna’s signature headgear hurriedly walking on the pavement while carrying an umbrella. A man taking the video can be heard telling a colleague that he could be Miguna.
Ka Njogo said: “Hehe…i know that guy.Hes a sheikh..hapo hurligham.”
Geocity Kipreach Minges noted: “Ilibidi acheze chini.”
Cheposeroney Mwaires said: “Thats not Miguna????Mutafanya police waka Bomb Runda.”
Hon Charles Bazenga jokingly said: “He’s even refused to board a matatu…Waaaaaah.”
However, when a Twitter user, @SalomeLugard tagged Miguna in a tweet asking him to clarify whether he had returned, Miguna told him to stop being distracted by the people distributing the video – terming them as “idlers”
“Salome, don’t be distracted by idlers in Nairobi,” Miguna said, to which Salome replied; “Thank you General, I thought you were within the coordinates. Viva”.
Responding further Miguna tweeted, “Of all people, even you can send me such an insensitive message? Jesus Christ!”
