Joho Declares He's Ready to Work with President Kenyatta

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has now pledged to work with the Jubilee government following last Friday unity pact between President Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga.

In a series of tweets, Joho, who has in the past been embroiled in public spats with President Uhuru, said he’s ready to offer his full cooperation.

“IN SUPPORT OF STEPS TOWARDS A NEW BEGINNING: I wish to express my support for my party leader the Rt. Hon. @RailaOdinga in his efforts towards unity, peace & justice in Kenya. I pray that God gives him strength & wisdom to deliver a brighter future for all of us in this country,” tweetd Governor Joho.

He added: “I also wish to extend a hand of cooperation to our colleagues from the competing coalition. It is in the interest of every Kenyan that this Kenyan project succeeds. As we come with a clean heart and open hands, please remember that an open hand cannot shake a clenched fist.”

This comes a day after the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) deputy party leader urged National Super Alliance (Nasa) leaders and supporters to embrace the peace deal reached between Odinga and Uhuru.

“To our coalition partners, there’s a time for peace and a time for war. This is the time for peace. Not all of us may have fought in the times of war, but all of us MUST fight for peace. The time for war has come and gone,” Joho said in a tweet.

He continued: “To our party supporters, I wish to reassure you, our leadership has always been on the right side of history. As ODM, our faith in our leadership is resolute because it stands tried and tested. I also hereby pledge to be a joint custodian of all your concerns and interests.”

Sokora or Chokora, you are such an idiot. Where did Joho say that he’s joining Jubilee? I think Kenya can do much better without morons like you.

I smell uswahili …crookedness. Fear a man who sways with the wind….a man that finds it so easy kutusi the institution of the presidency and go on an insult-rally without self-control…. and again sways back to say sorry without remorse. Very unstable.

  4. Joho is known to all…
Joho is known to all developers on the coast as ‘one unit mine’. He simply approaches a developer/builder to allocate him a unit of whatever is being built; office tower, apartments, shops, offices, and so on. What is more he picks the best one – the top floor of a residential tower, the best corner office, the best facing shop location. It is not a request so one has to comply.
